Christmas Scrap Tags

Hi friends!  Sandy here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Saturday's anything goes project. We will be using different techniques to make Christmas Tags today.

First, I have my tip of the day for you.... Gather up those scraps, they make excellent tags!

Onto today's project...
I have a couple tags to showcase that I did using scraps (nothing was bought new for these) and the different card techniques used for 12 days of Christmas Blog hop. I did 12 videos with 12 different cards.  You can check those out of step by step instructions. Right now, I will just show you how I used the same techniques to make my Christmas Tags for this year.
If you are a member of our Facebook Group then you got a sneak peak of these tags.  Plus our current challenge right now is TAGS, just create card or project but make sure it has a tag on it!!!

First up is my favorite one!

  • Gold Emboss Reindeer:
supplies: embossing powder, heat gun, versa mark, ribbons, white gel pen for "snow", ink and dauber

  • Tag a tag:
supplies: large tag, ribbon, small tag with embellishents. Kinda different having a tag on a tag, lol. (it was a tag on a card for the blog hop)

Distress tag: paper tearing, embossing, sanding, inking
supplies: ribbons, Core'dinations cardstock (best kind for distressing) chipboard snowflakes, embossing powder, heat gun ( DT Cristina shared a video with us on how to double emboss chipboard. This is the first time I used the tech and I love it!)

Pre-made Embellishment tag:
supplies: tag, journaling square, chip board embellishment (seriously, this took me 1 min to make and I think its cute)

Clean and Simple tag:
supplies: bakers twine, ink pad and various stamps. (for CAS projects, remember: White Space)

Embossing, Border Punch and Sanding:
supplies: Cuttlebug, embossing folder, flower embellishment, ribbon, border punch, sanding block (one of my favorites!)

Tearing and embossing skinny tag:
supplies: embossing folder, sand block, chipboard snowflake, ribbon for the bottom and stamps ( This is my go to Christmas stamp, its always nice to have a "go to " stamp for you sentiments)

To make tags you can basically use anything you have on hand ( after Christmas sales are a great way to stock up on embellishments for cheap)
I hope your enjoyed today's project. If you have a question, please leave it in the comments, and a DT member will get back to you.  You can visit me to see more card/project ideas at A Working Mom's Joy. Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques.

And as always, comments are appreciated. Thank you for stopping by and Have a blessed day!

Fiskars AdvantEdge Punch System Review

Good morning friends, Carolyn here with a review of a new tool I just recently purchased.  Received a newsletter from Scrapbook.com recently and checked it out.  But I did not purchase from Scrapbook.com as it's out of stock, so went to another source, and it arrived this past Saturday afternoon. TIP:  Easy way to create borders for your scrapbook page layouts, or embellishing the page or creating edges for your cards.  Gives you ease of creating a border across the edge(s) of paper; and create a border strip and cut down to size you would like for embellishing a sentiment mat for a card or front of card.
