Cricut Flower Cards- MCCR

HI friends!  I wanted to share with you how I make my own shape cards using my gypsy and Cricut but you can use the Cricut Craft Room to get the same results...  Let's get started! Using Songbird cart, I picked out this pretty flower first on this cartridge the flowers are lettered so I had to remove the letter "x" for this blossom by using the hide feature next I set my size at 3.5" for my flower and copied 2 on the gypsy third, I flipped the blossoms and butted them up against each other at the top fourthly, I welded the two together so then cut as one image lastly, I cut another blossom at 3.5" in pattern paper. here you can see the flower welded together and folded to make my card base. Note that when you fold it, you lose the point of the blossom  I cut the top of blossom from the stem on the pattern paper, this is going to be the front of my blossom   using my color pencils and a flat embellishment, I finis

Real Dial Size- My Cricut Craft Room

Hi Friends! For my DT post today at My Cricut Craft Room, I wanted to share what the real dial size function on your Cricut means.  Maybe you are new to your Cricut or even had it a while and never "messed" with this. Here is a easy example for you to see it in action. "The Cricut is automatically set with real dial size OFF . What this means is that your Cricut will AUTOMATICALLY make your items proportional to your finished size image." So if you cut an image at 3", then every other layer will cut to the correct size.  Here is an example... Using Birthday Bash, the banner/bird image are cut at 2.5" along with all the banner layers, wings and hat. So the whole image is 2.5" tall.  "Now this is real dial size ON .... instead of proportionally. The cuts each item at the REAL size." This is great because it makes you cartridge so much more diversified.  Meaning you get so many more usable images on your cart that can

Sunday Blessings-Jesus is My Super Hero

We had our first baby dedication at Grace Family Church this morning.  As I was sitting there, I was reminded that we, parents, just get our children for a few short years.  I want to make sure the years I spend bringing up my children, are to see them grounded in the Word and having a close personal relationship with Jesus. The statistics are mind boggling...only 1/4 of the children that graduate, stay in church?!?! Only 1/2 say they have some kind of "religion"! So today, I am reminded that my children are a special blessing to me. And that, I have to be diligent not to let the enemy use me in anyway to be a stepping stone in my children's lives. This is a favorite of the kiddos... Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,
