Would you Ever Guess Wed- Using Nested Images, 3 sizes, Any Shape

Hi friends, today we are showing how to make any image a "nesting" image.  You don't even need a Spellbinders of Sizzix die cut frame to do it! Here is my example... As you can see, I nested my hearts, cut from the Sweethearts cartridge and cut at 5, 4.5 and 4". To finish my card, I used Create a Critter for the Love Bug sentiment, cut at 3".  I also used Create a Critter 2 for my cut little bug, she was cut at 2".  The individual hearts are left over cuts that I used, I guess you would call them the negatives. Hope you like it! Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Welcome to this weekends blog hop, hosted by My Cricut Craft Room.  It will be two days, both Saturday and Sunday so make sure you stop by tomorrow too! For my project, I wanted to show you a framed layout for my cousin and her new hubby.  These are great to give as gifts by just putting into a 12x12 frame (bought at Walmarts). I created this layout using her wedding colors, purple, teal, black, silver and zebra print.                              Cricut cartridge used is Plantin Schoolbook for flowers cut at 1.5" in purple and teal (I ended up making over 200 of these flowers for invited, and reception cards...NEVER AGAIN!) Also used, is Sweethearts for wedding ring set, cut at 2" in white glitter cardstock To give this gift in time, I made the layout ahead of time, leaving room for my picture.  I also got my gift wrap all ready to wrap the gift ahead of time. After the wedding ceremony, I took my memory card to Walgreens.  While the couple were tak

Child Theme Cartridges w/ MCCR

Hi friends, Happy Monday!  Today we are looking at some Child Theme cartridges.  By no means are they just for children, however, the images make it so easy for layouts, cards and projects for the kiddos. I decided to put away the cards and work on a couple of layouts.  I am so behind in my pictures (like 3 years, opps, time flies!) With the first layout, I used A Child's Year and Plantin Schoolbook ... A Child's Year: Happy Birthdays cut at 4" Plantin Schoolbook: shift 3"  I love the silhouette look on this cartridge. A Child's Year: Birthday 1 image cut at 3.5" A Child's Year: Birthday 1 cut at 3.5" The next layout, I used the new cartridges: The First Few Years and When I was a Kid... The First Few Years: sleep baby cut at 2.5" in blue The First Few Years: Moon and Starts cut at 4" in yellow (added blue behind the eye and mouth of moon) The First Few Years: star cut at 1.5" When I was a

Criss-Cross Card Tutorial

As you can see, the front folds are cut at an angle and open to reveal the cute image and sentiments. So lets get started... start with a 12x12 double side card stock cut in half, giving you 2 pieces of 6x12 card bases  score at 4" and 8" horizontally now the card magic... measure down 4" and lightly pencil mark along the outside edge flip and do the other side, measuring down 4" using your paper trimmer, place your paper diagonal on the trimmer lining up the 4" score line at the top with the now 4" pencil mark on the side and cut that's all there is to it, a very easy card to make  For this card, I did it a little different than the first one I place adhesive along on side and bottom of card and folded making it a criss-cross envelop using a border punch, paper flowers and the scrap triangles, added a little embellishment to the front  the mat sizes are... 3.75"x 5" (white), 3.5"x 4.5" (

My Craft Space

Hosted by Craftin Desert Diva's: This linky party is  Show me your craft space/room! So here is my craft space.... Yep, it is in my dining room. Only have about 15 years when I can kick the girls out and take over their room, lol. When we have company or parties, I put a tablecloth on the table and all the items on top get taken to the laundry room with hubby's help.  Here is the other corner, it is all my paper. I am in the middle of a couple blog projects right now so it is a little messy.  And here is the table...  What can I say, I'm keeping it real here, lol.  I take one end and the kiddos have the other.  They like to color when I am scrapping, and my girls help a lot with projects. I am waiting on a scrapbook cupboard.  I should have it by the weekend so I will update this post and show you the new space look then. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,
