Surfing Saturday

Saturday seems like the day I can get on the computer now a days. This is a good day to catch up on what's going on with all my blogland friends and share a little of my hectic life. The Family... The weather has been wonderful so we've been playing outside. My Sam has been a wild man. He is all over the yard even trying to explore the street which needless to say gave Mama a heart attack :( I've disciplined him more this last week than the whole previous year. Is there are switch that turns on the moment they turn two? Church life... God is so good!!! I was able to go to Wednesday bible study at church with hubby. That was nice. Because of his work schedule, he works every Sunday. I take the kiddos to church Sundays and on Wednesday, he goes with Jessica. But now they have Wednesday night nursery, so we were all able to go!!! Tossing the pounds... Well I seem to be fighting a battle right now. I keep juggling the pounds. Up one, down two, up three and down one, etc. Aunt F

My updated life, lol.

Weather gets warm, the day get shorter, lol, AKA, so much to do and no time to do it in. I'm feeling out of the blogland loop but know I am praying for you my friends. On the family end... We survived Easter, Mother's Day, my Jessica's first year of Rainbows, Family Pictures at the park, garage sale and my Sam's second birthday party, along with everything else in between. Here are a couple of pictures... On the church end... I feel a little lost. With three little ones, I have no time for ministry. I am teaching the 2-3 yr olds two Sunday's a month. I did decide to go down to one Sunday and even then I am feeling stretched (this is not my forte but there is a need). We still are a part of our bible study group in fact I'm hosting this thursday. But I still feel lost without a "calling" so to speak, kwim? On the weight tossing end... I've taken a break from counting points and such. I am having a lot of leg pain so exercise is pretty much out right

In Rememberance...Thank You

Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. Thank you for your sons, husbands, and brothers. Thank you for the cost you all have paid for my and my family's freedom. Thank You!!! THE SOLDIER (This song was written for Memorial Day back in 1985.)

Happy Birthday Sam the Man

My baby boy is getting to be such a big boy!!!! He is TWO today!!!! Thinking back, he was my 3 pushes baby and has been on the go ever since. I am a blessed Mama! (tired but blessed, lol)

Out of the mouth of babes...

I needed a giggle today and here are some of the cute kiddie funnies (thanks you my friend, Heather)... Six-year old Angie, and her four-year old brother, Joel, were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk out loud in church." "Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked. Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers." One Sunday in a Midwest City , a young child was "acting up" during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. ....Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little boy called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!" (out of the mouths of babes)The preacher was w

Happy belated Mother's Day

Anyone who is a mommy to both the young and/or old know sometimes mommies are just too busy, lol. But I didn't want the "week" to pass without wishing all my wonderful blogland mommies a Blessed Mother's Day (or in my case week since I missed yesterday, lol)

It's blog time check in...

I just love blog breaks. I'm resting a little before heading back to paint some more in the bathroom. Now, it is just touch ups and it's looking good. But I am NEVER wallpapering ever again. If I even hint at it, someone PLEASE give me the proverbial kick in the behind! If I haven't tossed a pound from going up and down the ladder, I'm going on strike. It has been helpful in keeping me away from the fridge though ;-) I've also spent some time checking up on you, my blogland buddies. I am so happy on how everyone is doing. Keep up the great work, you are my inspiration. Back to the grind now... oh prayer request!!! My Emily is a sicky. She doesn't look or act it. She has to take breathing treatments to help with the congestion, a steroid and medicine for a double ear infection. God is good though. The one medication was gonna be $100, but her doctor and the pharmacist came up with an alternative that the insurance will cover. Can't wait to tell hubby!

HYC Weigh in

That time again... weigh in. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I'm elbow deep in paint. For some reason my life is just not a busy as it can be, so I decided to paint and wallpaper the bathroom (a little sarcasm here, lol). 5-5-09: 250 to 248 lbs! Tossed two away! My biggest change this week is that I cancelled my WW online membership. I am .5lbs away from reaching my halfway point, and I pretty much am set with continuing WW on my own. I only recorded my points on the site and never bothered with any of the message boards anyway. So I'm saving us some money and using good old fashion pen and paper ;) I got to thinkin' lately (that's the smell coming from Ohio, lol). What does the bible say about eating/hunger? When I looked it up, most of the scriptures went something like... "they ate and were satisfied." So then I had to look up satisfy, to fulfill the desires, expectations, needs, or demands of (a person, the mind, etc.); give full contentment

Your gonna miss this...moment!

Busy, busy, busy. The weather gets nice and time flies by. So I got to thinking about how fast this year is going by. I look at the kiddos and a part of me says, "STOP! I just need a minute to enjoy you guys before you get any bigger!" The other part of me, says "What is on the agenda next?" Blogland friend Mimi (He& ME+3) does Pam's meme called "Your gonna miss this". So what am I gonna miss? Let's start at the beginning... Holding my babies for the first time in my arms, the wonderment of their birth. The first birthdays, smash cakes, icing in the ears and nose and ... DIAPER!!! How in the world did he do that?!?! LOL The themed birthday parties. You know... Elmo, Disney Princess, Sponge Bob. Before you know it, all they'll want is some mula and a car!

Friday Fill-ins

And...here we go! 1. The first rule of working in an office and getting along is don't, working on the road is sooo much better and less stressful...less drama. 2. Love clams. 3. When I think of carnivals I think of summer, shorts, rides, hot dogs on the stick, cotton candy... I am sooo ready, bring on summer. 4. Tulips my favorite spring flower. 5. Things on my desk include computer, camera, junk pile. 6. Sunshine and 70 degree temps makes me wanna go out and enjoy nature with the kiddos. 7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to movies and dinner with hubby , tomorrow my plans include another 1yr old b-day party and Sunday, I want to finish redecorating the bathroom!
