Surfing Saturday

Saturday seems like the day I can get on the computer now a days. This is a good day to catch up on what's going on with all my blogland friends and share a little of my hectic life.

The Family... The weather has been wonderful so we've been playing outside. My Sam has been a wild man. He is all over the yard even trying to explore the street which needless to say gave Mama a heart attack :( I've disciplined him more this last week than the whole previous year. Is there are switch that turns on the moment they turn two?

Church life... God is so good!!! I was able to go to Wednesday bible study at church with hubby. That was nice. Because of his work schedule, he works every Sunday. I take the kiddos to church Sundays and on Wednesday, he goes with Jessica. But now they have Wednesday night nursery, so we were all able to go!!!

Tossing the pounds... Well I seem to be fighting a battle right now. I keep juggling the pounds. Up one, down two, up three and down one, etc. Aunt Flo comes, up instant 3, lol. I'm at 248 today. That's plus three from last week. Looking back, I've slacked off. I told hubby no more junk food in the house.
On a good note, I went through my closet this morning and tossed the last size 26/28 shirt (my crutch shirt). I have a couple of 3x that are a little roomy but comfy so I kept them. I even had to toss my "Christmas dress". For those that don't know, it was the first dress I wore in 5 years. I'm excited to finally be getting into 1x, and I have a bunch of size 18s that I'm itching to wear next!!!

Praying for you all, hope you have a blessed week!

  3. Good for you! Throwing out those too big clothes is so cleansing. I need to do it again and get some new tshirts. Your 3 ounds will come off. I get that same problem and those pounds tend to linger for about a week. You shouklld be so proud. You are doing great! Inspiring to us all.

  4. You are doing so well. Keep up the good work! It makes such a difference when you get to go down a size or two. I'm still working on that myself. Kinda stuck. But NOT GIVING UP!

    Blessings

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
