A Year of Tech. Stamping on Pattern Paper

Image may contain: text

Welcome to A Year of Card Techniques Blog Hop where each month we feature a different card technique.
We’ve assembled a team of card makers who range from new to advanced, so you’ll see a great variety of cards and ideas. We all love our stamp sets and we all love our patterned paper.
Well, this month we’re combining the two by stamping ON patterned paper for some unique projects.  It will be fun to see what stamps and papers our team decides to pair together.
And if you would like to check out our past technique hops, you can do that here:
Our amazing sponsor this month is Card a Day Challenge Blog.

I have to say this is a favorite technique of mine. I love it especially for sentiments. So here is the card that I did for the hop. I took pattern paper that was blah and added a medallion flower/ sentiment and I really like how it comes together. Pink and Black is a favorite color combo of mine too.

Now these are cards were all done using sentiments right on the pattern paper. When I do sentiments on pattern paper, I try to keep them black, gray or brown.

I hope you like them and are enjoying the hop so far!
Now you’re off to visit with Jodie . Hope you had fun and thanks for stopping by.  See you next month with another technique!

Here’s the full line-up in case you get lost:

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
