Have you ever wanted to use all of the photos you took at a birthday party, a get together, or on a vacation? Today I am sharing with you simple tips on how you can include several photos of lesser importance on one page. Photo collages are an easy way to accomplish this. I also show you how to balance out the other side with a simpler layout design. Let's dive right in!
I find that I always tend to do page collages when it comes to vacations. We take photos of so many things while on trips that don't have a lot of importance other than we saw it on the trip. This page is when we went to the zoo during our Pittsburgh Trip! I loved taking photos of all of the animals, but didn't want to include every single one of them. This is a great way to include some favorite without taking up too much room in the album. I go through this in more detail during the video. Enjoy!
Some key takeaways from this project is to keep it simple. Photo collages can some times be very overwhelming to look at. I kept my photos very similar by using close up shots of each animal with a couple spots of white space. Decorations should also be kept at a minimum. Here I used a couple of stickers to help tie the page to its partner page, but nothing too overwhelming with color or design.
The opposite page of your photo collage should be simple. I chose to do a full 6x8 page next to it. I only included on photo to help create a focus. I used simpler patterns and not too many colors to ensure a peaceful page. I decided on a vertical title to intrigue the eye. To get product information, watch the video! I only made one cluster on this page again to keep it simple. I used a vellum sticker as a fun pop of color to match the other side and included several colorful enamel dots. There's also a couple loops of black thread for added texture since the other page is so flat.
I hope you enjoyed getting to see a pocket page collage! They are really fun to make and definitely add a lot of photos in a small finite space. Thanks for stopping by!
