Hi friends!  Sandy here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Thursday's Product Review. We will be looking at the Recollections 3 in 1 punch.  First, I have my tip of the day for you... keep your craft receipts handy, in your craft desk or cabinet, just in case what you bought has to go back. This happened to me recently. I bought a punch that didn't cut right and was able to exchange it the next day. I didn't have to go hunting through my home receipts. Onto today's project... Today is a video review that I made. I purchased it from Michael's with a 40% off coupon, making it $18 plus tax. Below I will demonstrate how to use the punch right out of the package. A Washi Card

Hi Friends! I am joining up with She's A Sassy Lady today to bring you a new-to-me card technique...Washi Tape.  I used it once on a card challenge and that was only using two strips, lol.  This time I decided I wanted to try the criss cross patch work design using Washi Tape. So here it goes.... First, I placed the tape over the front of my first layer, criss crossing. I didn't do the bottom because I was going to cover it with a pattern paper.  Next, trim the base layer by cutting off all the extra tape.  Below are my card base and layers. I did add black when I put the card together. Black is my new "pop" of color.  Here is the card with the mats and base adhered together   Quick Tip: when I am using my markers, I will stamp two images. One is to "test" the colors to see what will match with my papers and in this case, to see which circle punch would fit this image. The second is the image I will put in on my project.  Finally, I attach my sentiment using

Circle Card Challenge

Hi Friends! Today starts the next tutorial challenge hosted by The Scrapbook Blessings Club facebook group.  Just request an invite for the group. We have a great bunch of crafters that love learning new techniques!  The first one is using a die cutting machine.  You can use manual or electric (if you weld your circles together).  The second is the "old fashion way", using just paper, scissors and glue. Here is my first card using a machine... Here is my second card using the "tag" technique that I cut out with my paper trimmer... (the design for this card was for a challenge for Colorful Creations... use your favorite products, in this case: my cuttlebug and circle dies, Memento ink, embossing powers/gun, sparkle/glitter, ribbon.  AND to use something that you are not comfortable with, so I used my Stamp Around set from Inkadinkado (I bought it awhile ago and  tested out of the box and never touched it again.  I also used a stick pin which is my first time.  Overal

3-D Halloween Frame

Hey kids!  It's Cindy and it's Wednesday--half-way to the weekend!!  I'm going to share a fun, home décor project with you today.  I love to decorate for Halloween!  I cut this chipboard frame and covered it with patterned paper using the Happy Hauntings Cricut cart @ 6".  I used a cereal box for my chipboard :-)  Use your deep cutting blade @6, max pressure, low speed, with multi cut set to 2.   TiP:  When cutting the patterned paper for the back side of the frame you will need to use the flip feature on your Cricut. I fussy cut the witch image from one of the patterned papers.  She was too cool--couldn't help myself...LOL!  I popped her up with some dimensional pop dots. I added a tulle bow and some sequins with Glossy Accents.  I attached the stand piece with Terrifically Tacky tape.  (side view of frame) Recipe: Teresa Collins -Haunted Hallows stack- all patterned papers Happy Hauntings Cricut cart pop dots sequins black tulle Glossy Acc

Personalized Stationary - Die Cutting Monday

Hello everyone, Today starts our new round of design team posts. Every day we have a different project for you. Mondays are projects using die cut machines and I am bringing you a very useful project: DIY personalized stationary. This is an actual gift I am sending to a dear friend of mine whose birthday was a few weeks ago. TIP: When using die cut machines, it helps if you try to sketch out what you have in mind. They are fabulous and have many images we can use to cut (electronic and metal die cuts). When I sketch what I have in mind first, it helps me map out what colors I will need and even if I end up with a different product from the sketch it helps get myself organized. Visit her blog at lepaperstudio.blogspot.com to learn how to make this. VIDEO TUTORIAL: Direct youtube link: http://youtu.be/qGYzK9EM5rM Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by, Luisa

Faux Tiles with Glossy Accents

Hi friends!  As we are getting ready behind the scenes for our official Oct 5th Launch Party, I thought I would share with you a "Blast from Past" tutorial today. Also, we have a couple sponsor slots open for 2014, if you would like to partner with us, please email me at  Cleosan52@yahoo.com and please check out the DT Call going on right now and our current challenge: Circle Easel Cards . Both end on Sept 30th.  Whew, a lot going on now at SBC!!! Here is what I did along with a little tutorial with one of my favorite craft tool... Glossy Accents. I was able to achieve a wonderful tile look with my digi stamp.  First, I colored my image with simple colored pencils and then using mineral spirits ( I got this huge bottle at Walmarts for $5 in the paint section) and a paper nub, blend away. I blended my colors to get a rich wonderful look. The best part is I didn't spend a fortune to get the look I want.  I then did the unthinkable... I cut my image into little bloc
