Pre Crop Challenge!

Core'dinations is having blog hop challenges and I thought I would do a couple this weekend.  I like this card stock especially when I am tearing and filing.  It gives me nice texture.  This paper I used is in the whitewash series.  I just love the green/white colors. For this challenge, you need to create a  small gift item... I don't have tea drinkers in the family but I do have coffee ones.  I found these cute individual pot flavors at Target and decided to make a little gift out of them. It is very easy to do, just a couple of steps... First a little cutting and scoring... cute 3x12 and score @ 2", 6.5" and 7.5" and fold at creases. I used my crop-a-dile- and punch a hole through all layers, even the coffee bag inside. Then thread ribbon to tie and add a little tag.   So here is mine final piece... I love how it sits up! And that is it! You can find this challenge HERE Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping

Less is More Glitter

First, I want to again thank everyone who came by during the All about Me blog hop.  I am still going through the comments and plan on visiting everyone. So, its that time of year and I am starting to get my Christmas cards in order.  This was a simple card to do.  I love the snowflake glitter stickers, just wish I could find more.  It was so much easier to use vs getting the glue and glitter out, lol.  So yes, I cheated! Less is More challenge for this week is   to include glitter or bling, something that twinkles, sparkles or shines. LOVE IT!!! Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings

With the holiday seasons upon us, I wanted to share my favorite songs with you.  This is one is speaks a lot to me not only as rejoicing that our Savior was born, but as a mother.   Mary Did You Know? I look at my children and just wonder what God has planned for their lives.  I pray that they keep their eyes and hearts on Him daily.  I am excited in the future that awaits them. Jeremiah 29:11 11  For I know the plans  I have for you,” declares the  Lord , “plans to prosper  you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

So Thankful

I am so thankful for the many blessings God has given me this year.  I decided to do something different... You know when you go around the Thanksgiving table, before you eat, and say what you are thankful for?  Normally, Aunt Sally who can talk your ear off, clams up and everyone gets embarrassed speaking in front of people, however they were just talking your ear off!!!  Why is it so hard for us to vocally say what we are thankful for or thank God for what he is done in our lives? So, I decided to start a mini album this year.  I made this cute little card and everyone just wrote down what they are thankful for this past year.  It was great!  Every one participated and got to read what each other wrote. Every year, I am going to make a new card and place it in the mini album.  I think this is a great tradition to start! I also found a new-to-me blog courtesy of Nancy from The Nickle Nook (she is the one who got me started with faith booking!!!)   It is A-Ms Scripture Challeng

Happy Thanksgiving

I am so looking forward to Thursday.  I love all the good eats but I am really looking forward to watching the Macy's parade and playing games with the family after dinner.  Welllll, the pumpkin pie is a big plus too, lol! Here is my Thanksgiving Card to give out on Thursday... I used My Acrylix by SU, Thanksgiving set.  I love these 4 stamps!  I used my Bic markers to color.  Much harder than Copics, but I only have 3 of those.  Still think it turned out okay. I decided to add it to a couple of my favorite challenge sites... My Craft Spot :  Thanksgiving.  They have an awesome design team and I love their challenges! Card TV : I'm stuffed, anything goes!!!  By far, she does THE best videos!!!!  I like they are great and so creative. Cupcake Inspiration:  okay, this is just the cutest blog.  It is a new one for me and here you used cupcakes as your inspiration.  Love it!!!  So I wanted to play along this week! Thanks for stopping by.  Have a blessed day...

Sunday Blessings

This weeks video is a little different.  I think this is an awesome visual of the ABCs of salvation and would be great both children and adults.  I hope this can be a tool for you to use for your family.  Praying you have a blessed day. You are so welcome to join in.  Do you have a song that ministered to you this past week. Just leave a comment linking your post and I will link them up here and add your button (if you have one) so that we can praise together throughout the week.

Blog Hops???

What do you think about blog hops?  Are you hopper or the hoppee?  Getting back to blogging and participating in some hops by being the hopper, there are a couple of things that I noted... I like short hops, no more that 10 blogs at a time, prefer 6-8 at a time. I don't like having to follow unless it is for blog candy on that blog.  If I like your blog, I will follow. I don't want to really follow 20 new blogs for some paper and embellishments from the main post. I don't like a lot of sponser writing.  Linked picture and prize is all I need to see. I like hops that have tutorials, it is fun learning new techniques. I don't like hops that have novels, keep it short and sweet, lol.  Especially when they write this long post and at the end put one little picture of the craft. I like having the name of the next blog, nice and big, at the bottom of the post. I don't like when someone is in the line up and they don't post.  I think they should be deleted imm

Sunday Blessings

I woke up this morning with this song in my mind.   I think my subconscience has a paise and worship parties at night, lol.  Can't remember my dreams but I always get a song that stick with me all morning! I think this morning the Lord is reminding me, its just time to go back to the basics.  I don't need to know or do it all!  All I am commanded to do is.... Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart With all your soul, with all your mind And with all your strength One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: "Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?"  Jesus replied, "What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?"  he man answered, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"  "Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you will live!"  Luke 10

So ready for....

CHRISTMAS!!!!  I know, I'm jumping the gun and thanksgiving isn't even here yet but I love just everytihg about Christmas!  So Docerela's challenge this week is right up my alley! z-fold card with color blocking, a little stamp and this cute tree embellishment, fun and easy to do. We Wish You a Merry Christmas .....now aren't cha glad you can't hear me sing right now, lol. Thanks for stopping by!

Your Great Name

"Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.. He was... buried in a tomb, yet He lives today" There comes a time when we become broken.  Everyone will experience this but the question is where do you go for help?  It is only through our brokenness that He came move in our lives.  It is when we say, I can't do this anymore.  It is when we call on Him.  His name above all else...Jesus. I remember a few years back when I had a panic attack.  It is something never to be forgotten.  A true panic attack is frightening and disabling.  I was home alone with my kids who were babies/toddlers and couldn't even fend for themselves.  I remember collapsing on the living room floor not being able to breath an

FALL... in love

So I just did this great project for a co-worker.  She is having a church function and asked me if I can do some altered wood letters in the theme of the party. In this case, is it "FALL...in love"   I had a lot of fun with these.  Started with some white wood letters.  I dry brushed them in brown acrylic paints.  I let them dry and added some stickers in different colors and shapes to sparkle them a little.   Lastly, I cut out some leaves using my cricut and inked them to make them look autumn like. I am going to enter this in this weeks challenge for Celebrate the Occasion blog- #84 FALL.  I just love this site and all the work the DT does! Two other great challenge blogs are on Tuesdays and they are Twisted Tuesday :  this week in the 5th tuesday so anything goes.  Whatever you are currently working on and that would be this project. And Party Time Tuesday is also having an Anything Goes challenge.  I know this isn't a card but I'm on a roll

Thank You Birdie

I made this card for Cut It Up challenge this week.  It is a Thank You with a twist, use die cuts on your project.  I usually get all my cuts from the Cricut but it is out of order, waiting for a new cord for my Gypsy.  So, I found this pack of die cuts in my stash and thought they would be great.  The bird and flourish are the cuts and I stamped the dot thank you to go with the theme. (oh and there is a birdie on the inside too with a green matte) Thanks for stopping by
