Sunday Blessings-Jesus is My Super Hero

We had our first baby dedication at Grace Family Church this morning.  As I was sitting there, I was reminded that we, parents, just get our children for a few short years.  I want to make sure the years I spend bringing up my children, are to see them grounded in the Word and having a close personal relationship with Jesus. The statistics are mind boggling...only 1/4 of the children that graduate, stay in church?!?! Only 1/2 say they have some kind of "religion"! So today, I am reminded that my children are a special blessing to me. And that, I have to be diligent not to let the enemy use me in anyway to be a stepping stone in my children's lives. This is a favorite of the kiddos... Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Scrapbook Blessings

Hi friends, I hope you had a great Sunday and are refreshed to start the new week! Today was relaxing for me.  Started off with an awesome church service, came home had lunch, the kiddos helped me pick up the place and then we played outside.  I hope the warm temps keep coming but here in Ohio, it is 70 one day and 25 and snow the next (maybe a slight exageration but you get the gist, lol). For my Sunday blessing, I was reminded of the freedom that we still have in this country. I was able to take communion openly and without fear.  This is not the same for others around the world.  Those meeting in secret and being imprisioned for the sake of the call. Even though when you look at the polital and moral relms it seems like we are falling apart as a country, I am reminded that God is in control.  There are steps that have been ordered and must be put in place so that His perfect will is made whole.  So please don't let fear grip you, know that you are ...

Sunday Blessings

So I am sitting here a little bored and thought "self, why don't you play with your new Cuttlebug"  Yep, Michaels has Cuttlebug and Sizzix 50% off this week.  My Michaels had one in the store when I called last night.  They held it for me and my fabulous hubby took me before church to get it. So you would think my new machine is my blessing today but no its not... my hubby is.  He is my special blessing everyday. He helped me get the coffee and everything set up in the church cafe and then took me to the store and waited until it opened and then we still had enough time to get back to church. God knew what he was doing when he gave me my greatest desire of my heart 9 years ago. So back to playing with my new "bug"... Here is a card that I made... I used Nursery Rhymes and A Child's Year.  For the cloud embossing, I used Tim Holtz distress ink, Stormy Skys.  I inked the fold and ran it through the bug.  Of course, I had to add some Stickle...

Sunday Blessings- Happy Day

Sunday Blessings- Victor's Crown

"This is the day the Lord has made. Let us be glad and rejoice in it." I just have a sense of excitement today. The heavenlies are moving. God is on the throne, and our Jesus is the Victor! I wasn't able to go to church this morning, hubby was working too, but I watch on ustream.  All the seats were filled except two.  I was teasing that those were for me and hubby for next week, lol. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by ,

Sunday Blessings- Steady My Heart

This has been a hard week physically.  I came down with a  dozy of a head cold but have been taking meds so it didn't get too bad.  I am going to see my BFF this weekend so I need to get healthy.  She lives 5 hrs away and I have been waiting months for this trip. On the brighter side, I have found out that I won a couple of challenges and such which is a great feeling and I apart of a great group of girls with the new Design Team for The Stamping Chef.  I forgot how much I liked doing this. This weekend is a blog hop that I am doing so be sure to stop by and check it out. For this week's song, Kari Jobe's Steady My Heart really ministers to me.  I just went through a pretty bad church split but, hey, we're all human.  Unfortunately, that is what went wrong.  As the songs, says "Even when it hurts, even when its hard, even when it all just falls apart. I will run to you, lover of my soul and healer of my scars... You steady my heart." Ho...

Sunday Blessings- Believe

I have to admit, I have been feeling very computer blah the past 2 wks. Work is very busy, but I am blessed to have a great job. In my quiet time, God has shown me how He is bringing me out of my comfort zone.  With my job, I have to meet new people daily and quickly build up a relationship with them to work with them.  Recently, He is showing me how I need to take those same tools and traits and use the for His glory. I an challenging myself not to be a weekend Christian.  The same seeds I plant in my ministry on Sundays have to carry out into my everyday life.  I thought this weeks song is very encouraging for me. Let's show the love of Jesus everyday! Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings- Amazing Grace (my chains are gone)

Hoping you are all having a wonderful Sunday. Acts 16:26 and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s  chains  were unfastened. I pray that 2013 is a time for break thru, the chains that bind shall be forever broken. No matter what you are going through be it either on the mountain top or in the valley, God is always with you. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings Challenges

Happy New Year!  One of my goals for this years is to start a challenge post.  I decided to do that with Sunday Blessings. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, I will post an inspiration song/scripture/blessing, and you will have two weeks to complete it.   It can be a card, layout, craft project anything that the song inspired you to make, using any media you want ie: cricut, stamps, digi stamps, etc.   The prized will vary each challenge and awarded if we have 10 or more players.   If you don't have a blog, just leave a link in the comments with where to find your project.  If you upload to a gallery add the tag: sbcsbc1, sbcsbc2, etc. depending on what challenge it is. If this takes off, which I am hoping, then I would love to have some guest DTs! Finally be inspired and bless others! Please help me spread the word!  Please grab my button on the sidebar, post about to your blog. Also if you are interested in being a guest DT f...

Sunday Blessings

Well, the end of the world didn't happen..yet.  Look at my previous post, it has a little clip art that says" What part of no man know don't you understand?"  I think it is very fitting but I still have the blessed hope of when the bridgroom comes for his bride so with that Happy 4th week of Advent. In the fourth week of Advent, we relight the three candles of HOPE, PEACE, and JOY, and we now also light the final candle, symbolizing LOVE. Advent is a time to love as God loved us by giving us His most precious gift. My fourth favorite song is one that I sang all the time when I was a child.  I always felt like that "little bell"... Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings

Happy 3rd week of Advent...   My next favorite song brings back a lot of childhood memories for me.   I remember singing and decorating the Christmas tree to this song with my dad watching us kids.  It has been 7 years since he passed, and I still miss him everyday.   We used to sing up a storm to this song... Rockin around the Christmas Tree but not just any...it had to be Brenda Lee.  Only she would do, lol. These memories bring me a lot of joy, so I thought it was fitting for this week. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings

Morning, hope you are having a great day so far.  This month we are celebrating advent which is the preparation of our King and Savior.  He came not as a warrior or diplomat or one of wealth and prestige, but he came as a baby, defenseless, helpless, and fragile. I am looking forward to when He will come again, but this time it will be as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords coming from heaven with a loud command and the trumpet call of God.   So as we celebrate week 2 of advent, we look towards peace.  A peace that passes all understanding. No matter what we hear in the news or see in print.  No matter what the governments of the world decide. No matter what Satan tries to bind us in with fear... we have a peace like no other.  A peace that His promises are Yes and Amen.  A peace that one day we will be with our Savior.  Little Drummer Boy is my third favorite Christmas song.  I think because I identify myself with that litt...

Sunday Blessings

This post is a little late today.  I have been on the run and have finally sat down to catch my breath. For December, I am sharing my favorite Christmas songs.  Carol of the Bell is a wonderful favorite of mine. So today is the first Sunday of Advent and that got me thinking.... what does this mean to me? Advent comes from the Latin word meaning arrival. It is the time of year that we celebrate the coming birth of our Savior.  The candles representing Hope, Faith, Joy, Peace and Love.  The colors are 3 for royalty, pink for joy and white for His birth.  A wonderful reminder. But I want to take it a step further.  While keeping His birth in remembrance, I think it is even more important to look towards His arrival for us.  The time that He comes as the bridegroom for His bride, the church. Two thousand years ago, it was the preparation of our Savior's arrival as foretold by the prophets.  Two thousand years later, we are in preparation f...

Sunday Blessings

With the holiday seasons upon us, I wanted to share my favorite songs with you.  This is one is speaks a lot to me not only as rejoicing that our Savior was born, but as a mother.   Mary Did You Know? I look at my children and just wonder what God has planned for their lives.  I pray that they keep their eyes and hearts on Him daily.  I am excited in the future that awaits them. Jeremiah 29:11 11  For I know the plans  I have for you,” declares the  Lord , “plans to prosper  you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings

This weeks video is a little different.  I think this is an awesome visual of the ABCs of salvation and would be great both children and adults.  I hope this can be a tool for you to use for your family.  Praying you have a blessed day. You are so welcome to join in.  Do you have a song that ministered to you this past week. Just leave a comment linking your post and I will link them up here and add your button (if you have one) so that we can praise together throughout the week.

Sunday Blessings

I woke up this morning with this song in my mind.   I think my subconscience has a paise and worship parties at night, lol.  Can't remember my dreams but I always get a song that stick with me all morning! I think this morning the Lord is reminding me, its just time to go back to the basics.  I don't need to know or do it all!  All I am commanded to do is.... Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart With all your soul, with all your mind And with all your strength One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: "Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?"  Jesus replied, "What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?"  he man answered, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"  "Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you will live!"  Luke 10...

Your Great Name

"Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.. He was... buried in a tomb, yet He lives today" There comes a time when we become broken.  Everyone will experience this but the question is where do you go for help?  It is only through our brokenness that He came move in our lives.  It is when we say, I can't do this anymore.  It is when we call on Him.  His name above all else...Jesus. I remember a few years back when I had a panic attack.  It is something never to be forgotten.  A true panic attack is frightening and disabling.  I was home alone with my kids who were babies/toddlers and couldn't even fend for themselves.  I remember collapsing on the living room floor n...

Be Strong In the Lord

The words I would say.... hmmm... I can say a lot of things and unfortunately I don't think it would be what my Father would want to hear come out of my mouth.  I'm finding that I have to make my words be edifying.  I need to be careful of what comes out of me.  So that is what I am going to do... Lord may my words and actions be pleasing to you not just today but always.  I am taking my thoughts captive and refusing to let satan have a foothold in my life. May my words be of encouragements, peace and love to my family and friends. I give you, Father, my mind and mouth, let them be used to glorify your kingdom.... Be strong in the Lord and Never give up hope You're gonna do great things I already know God's got his hand on you so Don't live life in fear Forgive and forget But don't forget why you're here Take you're time and pray These are the words I would say

GOOD MORNING

Jumping out of bed this morning with a spirit of expectation!!!  I feel like God is going to do something wonderful today and can't wait to see what is in store.  So excited because lately, I have been feeling blah but now I just want to say to all my craft buddies.... Have a blessed Sunday!
