Valentine's Day Cards For Kids

Inside of each card Hello Crafty Friends! Brenda here with some super easy Valentine card crafting! With February fast approaching I have been working on some Valentine's Day cards for the annual "Cards From The Heart Card Drive".  To read more about the card drive head on over here .  After using my Mickey cards from Typo last week (see cards on previous post here ).  I thought that I would use them again for my Valentine cards.  I created five cards to send off to the card drive.  Due to the requirements of the card drive I had to refrain from adding any embellishments to my cards. Recipe: Mickey & Minnie cards from Typo Mickey die cuts and heart die cuts - Cricut cartridge Embossing folders Sentiment & heart stamps by Close To My Heart Cardstock from my stash I have really enjoyed "shopping" in my own craft room.  I have had these Mickey cards from Typo for awhile and not used them.  It has been fun to finally create cards with

Cookie Making Day

Hello everyone, Cristina here to share with you a Project Life layout I recently put together. I really haven't made a full 12x12 layout in such a long time so I really enjoy just putting some layouts together with Project Life or any other brand. We are all so busy with life, kids, work, honestly not enough time in the day, this is why its good to just sit down and put pictures and cards together to at least get some time for yourself and to do what you love and that's create. Let's get to it!! In this layout I used Project Life Christmas. I actually found this one at Hobby Lobby awhile ago. Its a smaller package which worked great. I used some embellishments by Heidi Swapp, My Yellow Bicycle, and MAMBI. I hope your enjoyed today's project too. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques. Thank you for stop

Hello!

Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I have a cute card to share with you.  I used black cardstock for the mat layers on all the elements of this card.  I think it really makes it pop. I picked this ADFD image.  Isn't she the cutest with her buttoned up dress and shoes, from back in the day???  LOL!  Love her!  And then I also added the tiny black bling to match her dress and shoes.  I love to pull details from the image to help embellish my projects.  It gives them a cohesive look.  Recipe: ADFD image - Picked Flowers watercolor pencils Heidi Swapp stack - Sept Skies - all patterned papers Heidi Swapp sentiment stamp Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart - oval @ 4 1/2" black bling Thanks for stopping by today.  If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below.  Have a good one!

Double Pocket Card

Hello Crafty Friends!  Brenda here today to show you a double pocket card.  I absolutely love how easy this card is to make yet it looks like it took days to create! LOL!! Recipe: Directions can be find at Splitcoast Stampers.  Head on over here for all the details. Patterned cardstock, bling and ribbon from my stash The adorable Mickey Mouse is a card from this pack that I bought at our local Typo store. The bottom of the card is plain and I stamped the sentiment (by My Pink Stamper) on it. I hope that you enjoyed today's project. If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques. Wednesday YouTube Tutorial - Side Step Rocker Cards

I love Side Step cards and Rocker cards, so when I was looking through this months issue of Quick Cards Made Easy I was thrilled to see a Side Step Rocker card!!! Or course since the magazine is from the UK, all the measurements are metric....and I don't have the patience to do the conversions.  So I just came up with my own measurements.  I also decided to try to figure out how to make it with TWO steps instead of one....and with some trial and error I figured out how to do that too.  Now it's time for you to watch the video to see how to make this awesome card fold! I hope your enjoyed today's tutorial. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments. Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques. Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day! Paper Bag Mini album Part 1

Hey kids.  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I decided to create a paper bag mini album.  I got the idea from Maymay Made It Crafts.   This is still a work-in-progress.  I got the basic mini book, the mats for each page, and the tags with tabs that go into each pocket (open end of the bag), and the cover done so far.  I'll post a follow up post soon with all the pages and pictures done.  My daughter decided to switch from soccer to softball this past fall so I wanted to document her first season. Recipe: Red Celebrate It paper bags (Michael's) I used 5 but you could use more.  Recollections single sheets - red /white dot, red wave, red stripe The Paper Studio single sheets - black chevron, black stripes From My Kitchen Cricut cart - tabs @ 2 1/2" Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart - circle @ 3/4" (on the tabs sticking out on the side)  These are attached to cards that you can put pictures on and hid in the pockets. BE BRAVE

How many times have we told out kids, "be brave, you can do this...", etc?  I know I have said this and have had my parents tell me this too. But why? Because when we are brave, we can go on. It is that simple. When we are brave, we are effective. But let's take it a step further. When God tells us to be brave, what is He really telling us? He is telling us to have the courage to face difficulty, pain, danger without fear. Why? Because He promises us that He will be with us. We don't to face situations in life without Him. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 There is a wonderful blog post that I encourage you to hop over and read. Sister Liz did a wonderful break down of Joshua 1:9. I pray that it ministers you as much as it did me. Valentine Card

Teresa here from over @ Fresh and Renewed ...I am doing a Valentine Series this month so bookmark or set your calendar to check out my cards each Wednesday and Friday.  Today's Thankful Thought: I am thankful for my dentist who was able to discern immediately what was wrong. I had some dental work last Thursday and have increasingly felt bad/sick since Friday...it got really bad on Monday so Tuesday morning when I wasn't feeling better I called the office...he called in an antibiotic and wanted to see me today, took one x-ray and one quick peek back by the tooth and knew immediately what the problem was and how to fix it! So, this is the reason for the missed post on Wednesday. Hopefully, I am on the mend and can get some cards made and posts scheduled so I am not always scrambling! Onto today's Valentine card...I purchased several Valentine card making supplies recently when I put in an order. So my basket of supplies overfloweth! With my time limited to ge

New Year, Time to Organize

Hello Crafty Friends!  Now that the holidays are over I find myself in an organizing mood!  I am organizing everything from my kitchen pantry to the garage.  I love to organize and reorganize my craft room.  Sometimes I feel as if I spend more time going through my supplies and trying out different storage systems than I do actually crafting.  Anyone else feel the same?  There is one thing that I constantly come back to when I am organizing and it is this clear 12 x 12 plastic envelope.  I use them for many things. I use them to store my solid colored 12x12 cardstock.  I place the card stock in the envelope and then the envelope goes on the shelf.  I love that when I attend a crop I can just grab the particular cardstock color that I need and go.  These envelopes also come in handy when I am working with my Cricut.  Sometimes I am unsure of what color shade I want to use.  With these I can just glance through the colors.  I also use these to store vacation memorabilia in.
