Easy Cards from Scrapbooking Supplies - Happy Fall

Hello crafty people! I am bringing you a topic that I like to revisit every so often. If you are both a scrapbooker and a card maker, then you'll know that the supplies don't vary too much from one another. However, if you're only a scrapbooker, it can be hard to try and make cards without owning stamps or embossing. Today, I tackle making a card without typical card making supplies!  I used some plain Kraft colored cardstock to create my base of an A2 sized card. I then grabbed a 6x6 paper pad to find a background paper. You can use any size paper for your backgrounds which is convenient for using up some of that scrapbook paper. I cut this piece in to 4" x 5 1/4".  The video explains my decision process a little more, but there are so many options when it comes to making cards like these that there's no one right way. I pulled out a cut apart that worked as a sentiment for my card. Most of the piece were from the Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice c

A Year of Techniques- September Hop

Welcome to Welcome to A Year of Card Techniques Blog Hop where each month we feature a different card technique. We’ve assembled a team of card makers who range from new to advanced, so you’ll see a great variety of cards and ideas. Die Cuts are certainly popular in the crafting world and there are so many from which to choose. But they can be expensive, so we’re looking at additional ways in which we can use them; specifically, inlaid and lifted die cuts.   Hopefully, we’ll inspire you to try an idea or two that we’ve shared with you. If you would like to check out our past technique hops, you can do that here:    January-Shaving Cream Marbleizing February-So Sketchy March-no hop this month April-Stamp Set Showdown May-World of Watercolor June-Basic Card Folds July-Bleaching Your Card August-Stamping on Patterned Paper We have an amazing sponsor this month, Katydid Cards . Zig Zag cards

Hi everyone, Sandy here for a fun and very cute card folds that I did using the June's Flavor of the Month Card Kit.  I did 3 different card folds for my Scrapbook Blessings Club online class. I love how easy it was to embellish by using the Card Kit. This kit really does have everything you need, just add adhesive!  The most cards I have done so far is 24 with some scraps left over.   Which one do you like best? So here are the 3 class cards together, all embellished with Flavor of the Month Card Kits including papers, stickers, die cuts, and stamps. First card is the easy Z Fold Card. Then we bump it up to card #2 with is a Tri-Fold Card. #3 We went with an Stair Step Accordion Fold Card. Lastly, I threw in this card that I made for the Scrapbook Blessings Club Monthly Challenge which is Step Cards for June. Did I mention how much I love working with these kits?!?!?! Hello Friend

Hi everyone, Sandy here for a fun and very cute project that I did with Cute Critter stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs So for todays project, I wanted to do some coloring and I knew that these stamps would be great. But this time I wanted to use the coordinating metal dies that go with the set. It comes with 4, one for each critter. Plus have them peaking out from the square frames. I did add washi tape to the side of the frame and pop it up off the card base. Here is a little more closer of a look. I used the sentiments in the set and I LOVE them!!! Using a fine black marker pen, I added the dash areas because I thought there was just a little too much open white space between them. The green heart is Nuvo Crystals. I just did 2 tear drops and met them in the middle to get a heart. Thanks everyone for checking out a very easy colored card project. Now make sure you click HERE to head over to the store where you can find the materials that I used. I will list t
