Secret Santa Blog Hop

HO, HO, HO friends!

or you can just scroll down the page!

Welcome to the Scrapbook Blessings Club Secret Santa Blog Hop!

Merry Christmas to you all from the SBC Design Team. We are so excited because Santa is taking a mini- break in the preparations for his annual Christmas Eve debut.  He came by for a visit and hopped over to each of the Design Team's blogs.  The good news is that he said none of us are on the naughty list!  And, he did leave some presents just for you, our followers.  Its a secret though! We don't know which blogs have the presents, but I do know he picked two of us, yeah!!!  All you have to do is follow at www.scrapbookblessings.blogspot.com, hop over at each blog, and leave a comment.

So here is a card I did for Santa! He got a big kick out of it!

To create the chimney, I used the letterpress technique. This was our previous challenge that finished up yesterday and you can find the video tutorial at the SBC blog. I used stickles for "snow" and Santa, ummm, lower half is a chipboard scrap that I took off a package and recycled.

Also, here is an easy card that I did with the kiddos, But what makes this so special is that we had a "card party- play date".  My sister and her family are in Ethiopia as missonaries for the next two years. So this is the first year without them.

We set up Skyp and we gathered around the dining room table while at the same time, they gathered around theirs. It was the best play date ever!!!

Here they are in Africa, we are on the computer (even though it kept dropping the call, lol)  It was 7pm their time and noon here in Ohio.

So your next stop is Jennyfer's Blog and by the way there is ... 11 days left till Christmas!

Here is the entire line up for you to follow:

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
