Die Cut Monday

Hello and Welcome on this Monday. Glad to see all my crafty and scrappy friends here. Today is die cut monday so I am going to show you a layout with cricut die cuts.
Tip Of The Day: Always read the instructions in front of the booklet that comes with your cartridge to understand how that particular cartridge uses sizes. For example, for this cartridge, The First Few Years, each image tells you the size to cut in order to make a 12 x 12 layout similar to the one they have designed for you. Artbooking on the other hand, has you keep the size the same and will cut the smaller pieces to the correct proportion to the size of your page.

Here Is my Layout for today:

I used the "first few years" cartridge and made a 12 x 12 layout.
The smaller paper in the middle is 8 x 8.

Recipe
Blue background paper
Gray striped piece 8 x 8
Red, Blue, and Gray Card stock
These are the pieces you want to cut from your cardstock.
All these pieces are from the same LO with the truck as the basic image.

Cut the truck in red at 2 inches
Cut the title in red at 4.25 inches
Cut the DO Dad (the small tag) in red at 2.25 inches

Cut the truck shift image in gray at 2 inches
Cut the Title shift image in gray at 4.25 inches
Cut the title block(which is the square tag) shift image in gray at 2 inches.

Cut The do dad (small tag) shift image in blue at 2.25 inches
Cut the title block (the larger square tag) at 2 inches.

I also added texture paste with a stencil at the bottom right corner.
I added stickles to the Lightening bolt cut out shape from the truck and square tag.
I kept the lightening bolt cut out from the blue tag and added it to the top of the layout.

Here are the pieces you will have cut:

As always questions and comments are welcomed. Design Team will try to answer your questions as soon as possible.
I hope you are inspired to make a Layout from your cricut or other die cut machine.
Till next time
Barbara

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

  1. Fantastic layout Barbara. I love seeing other people's scrapbook pages and photos. Great die cuts to go with your layout. Can I ask, how you get such a perfect photo of your scrapbook page?

    Thanks Sher

  2. I don't use a flash. I turn on the ceiling light and open the door. Place the LO on the floor in the best lit place in front of the door and take the photo straight down. Then I crop it in photoshop.
