Hello again! Melissa here for another design team project. Thank you so much for coming back.
As some of you may know, April is Autism Awareness month. Today (April 2nd) is World Autism Awareness Day. I thought it fitting to share a project with you in honor of this day. The light it up blue initiative is shining a light on Autism. The puzzle pieces are to symbolize how autism is as complex as a puzzle.
Did you know ...
Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys
Autism prevalence figures are growing
Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average
Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
There is no medical detection or cure for autism.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your Autism project. I appreciate it very much. My granddaughter is autistic and she is, in my opinion, one smart young lady, and very sweet. I love her very much.
