Sunday Blessings

Welcome to my first ever hosted meme. I decided a while ago to give
God all the glory on this journey called my life. One way that I do this,
is to thank him for the blessings that he has given me. And since Sunday
is the day of rest and worship, what better day is there to have Sunday
Blessings. So I invite you all to join me in this weekly meme; and let us give
ourselves the fellowship and support as sisters in Christ, and God the
glory.

My Sunday Blessing this week is my home well namely my kitchen. I admit I was starting to get discontent with what I had in my home. I call the "Jones' Syndrome" aka I want what they have. I go into homes all over the area because of my job.

Well, I finally crossed the threshold of my first multi-million dollor home and in my finacially depressed area the average home is $30,000. The home was amazing, and the kitchen was my dream kitchen. I wanted to stay in that room the most, lol. Needless to say, when I returned home that night. I walked into my 10x10 kitchen, put my purse on the counter, looked around, and thought to myself, "I wish..."

God gave me an earful and eyeful, and by Thursday, I was praising the Lord that I was born in the 21st century and didn't have to cook over an open fire (Thanks Sylvia). Thursday, Friday and Saturday was spent decluttering my kitchen and cleaning. I am now the proud owner of a "new-looking" appliances or rather cleaned appliances. I scrubbed until my fingers were raw, lol. I re-organized the whole kitchen. Hubby fixed the disposal which was supposed to be broken when we moved, got a new trash can, and we replaced the cupboard handles.

God reminded me of how blessed I am. We moved in with the kitchen remodeled and decorated, by mother, and she has great taste. You see, I was blessed in that I was able to buy my childhood home from my mom with all my appliances included and working.
I thank God for my kitchen, my blessing.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
