A mini album for a teacher

Hi everyone!! I´m very excited because this is my first post as a DT member of SBC. Nice to meet you all.

Today I want to show you a mini album for a teacher.
I´m a high school teacher and last friday we celebrated teacher´s day so I wanted to make a special gift for my friend Luci, she works in the same school as I do and she has became one of my best friends =D

It´s a chipboard minialbum that I have been keeping stored because I waned to do something special with iot but I didn´t know what to do...well it finally got what it deseved!

Here you have the process:
First of all I selected my papers and rounded the corners
I pasted the patterned papers on the chipboard and applied some ink to the borders
I made some little bags for the inside pages cutting 7 pieces of paper (2.5 x 6 inches)
I rounded two of the corners and applied some ink to the borders
I put glue in the opposite border and pasted the piece of paper at the bottom of the page
I did the same with the 7 pieces of paper

For the front of my mini album I started spraying some tattered angels ink,
I selected some cute elements of the same collection of patterned paper I used for the pages and cut them
for the embelishments I stamped a little phrase , made a mini banner and finished with a blue rhinestone
I wrote my firend´s name with foam letters and put them in a mini banner
I put a couple of flowers together and a half-pearl at the top
I arranged all the elements and that´s it.
Finally, I cut some 4" x 6"  and 2" x 6" pieces of paper for the tags
I rounded the corners and put a little piece of washi tape to pull them out of the bags
I also decided to ink all the borders (front and back)

And after that I just had fun decorating the inner pages.

And here is a close up of the finished project =D

I send you a big hug and thank you for passing by!!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
