So here is my project for the blog hop

For me, as the kids get bigger, the days get shorter. I don't have the time to pull out the big guns (Cricut, Big Shot, etc) and make embellishments and just scrapbook til my heart is content. So what do I do? Take a ton of pictures, share them on Facebook...if I remember, and then look at said pictures down the road, wishing I had done something with them.

Now with modern technology, I am sure you heard of Digital Scrapbooking or Project Life.  I was hesitant to try something else new because of the money that I have spent over the years.  But with a computer and one FREE photo software, I am able to do my version of digital scrapbooking/PL. The best thing is I can download my layouts on a digital photo frame or even take them to the drug store and print them out without breaking the bank or spending a lot of time.

The program I used for this layout is PicMonkey.

Hope this inspires all the busy Moms out there, from one mom to another!

Here is our complete line up in case you get lost along the way:
Thanks so much for joining us for such a fun day!

  4. great job Sandy! I am a big fan of digital scrapbooking too! I have made about 10 digital albums so far. I use the old Creative Memories program but I am going to upgrade to the Panstoria version soon. I don't do the PL version though. I do sometimes print a digital page to stick in my traditional album, too. I have also printed a digital layout and added traditional items and created a hybrid and even sometimes framed them...so many possibilities! I am planning a couple of digital projects in the next few weeks. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and keep it up! It is great way to get a lot done but can be very creative too!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
