Friday scrapbook layout

Hello and welcome to all my scrappy and crafty friends. Barbara here today to share with you a double page layout that I made with photos from my scrapbooking retreat in June.

MY TIP- pick out some photos you want to be on a layout and draw your own sketch.

Here is my layout completed:

Recipe

Black cardstock cut to 9x9 and 9x4
Kraft cardstock 12x12  two pieces
Blue polka dot paper cut to 8x8 and 8x3
Blue stripe paper cut two pieces 12 x 1
Wood grain paper cut one piece 6x8
beige paper with small print cut one piece 3x12
2 die cut flourishes
embellishments

First lay down the black cardstock so it is even on both pages.
Add the polka dot paper over the black cardstock on both pages so it is even.
add the 3 x 12 piece of beige paper just to the right of the black cardstock on page 2
Add the wood grain paper which will somewhat overlap the beige piece with the wood grain paper even with the edge of the kraft cardstock.
Add the blue striped paper flush with the bottom of the black cardstock.
Place your photos, mat them if you wish.
Add the flourishes below the two horizontal photos.
I used Zip Dry glue to hold the metal sissors
'I used liquid glass to hold the flowers.
I love the blue and yellow colors together.

Hope you find some inspiration from this layout.
As always comments and questions are always welcome.
Make it a scrapbook blessings kind of day.

Barbara

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
