Scallop Circle Dress tutorial

Hi friends!  Jennyfer here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Saturday's  Anything goes project. We will be doing a Scallop Circle Dress...in different ways!!!

 First, I have my tip of the day for you....If you don't have a scallop circle punch, use your die cuts dies or your cricut.

Onto today's project. Just a note, I do apologise for some of the blurry pictures since I did not check my settings of my camera and that it's heavily loaded with pictures!!

I have followed Mementoes in Time's video and have modified the instructions a bit.

Here is what you need:

• Circle punch or cricut
• cardstock or designer paper
• embossing folder
• adhesive
• ink pad
• paper cutter
• bone folder
• brad

Instructions

Step 1: You will need a scallop circle of at least 3". You can choose to do bigger.

Step 2: Find the center of the card. Measure from one end to the other both north and south way.

 Step 3: Then, start making lines from one scallop to the center. Skip the next one and then mark another line. (Like shown above)

Step 4: After you are done with the pencil, score the lines you have just marked. Note: This "marking with pencil" can be skipped after you have done your first one scallop. I find that it helps me better with the scoring later. 

Step 5: Depending on how many scallops your punch or die cut will have, sometimes you will end up with two 2 scallop ears together. Mine had only one which is fine. 

Step 6: Cut the extra scallop and leave it aside. Turn the paper like shown above. 

Step 7: Now, the fun begins. Start by folding one of the scored scalloped ear onto the next one. I chose to all ears next to each other like shown below. 

 Step 8: Remember that extra scallop ear that you cut? Well, you will use it for your bodice. I forgot to take a picture for this step. You can just cut the bottom of the bottom in a pointed corner or you can tuck it under the skirt of the dress like shown below.

Step 9: This is how I decorated my dresses in a different way. 

For the first one, I used my embossing folder and used the letterpress technique to give some texture and color. (Note how the bodice was cut). 

 For the second one, I tucked the bodice under the skirt and decorate like you wish. 

Voila and enjoy!
