Silhouette Knock-Out Technique

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a technique that may be new to some of you.  Those who use it call it the knock-out technique. Here is an example of what the knock-out technique looks like: Silhouette Knock-Out Design Technique To create my example, I first typed out the "Happy New Year" in black using a thick font (I used Impact).  The line spacing will need to be adjusted to make the lines closer to each other. Then I typed 2015 in blue using the font Arial.  The colorful confetti was purchased and downloaded from the Silhouette store. Design #17667 from Silhouette Store I color filled the confetti and placed around the 2015 text. Step 1 - design  Next place the 2015-confetti design on top of the Happy New Year text and duplicate - you'll need two copies of your design for this effect. Step 2 - place 2015-confetti design on top of Happy New Year and create an extra copy. Highlight the top design and choose "crop".  You'...

It's January when its that time of the month for . . . .

Hi, its Lynne from Her Craftiness to share Saturday's Anything Goes project. But first my tip for you: Don't be afraid to step out of the box and stretch yourself. Sometimes that is your best work! Here is the card I made when I combine cutting with my Cricut, my inspiration from Create with TLC , and a strange color that all coordinated when applied all together!!!! When  Create with TLC  had the inspiration, "January", I had a project in mind that I knew I just had to do! First off, I love to use Create with TLC inspirations along with die cuts using my Cricut. Second is that I absolutely love, love, love Winnie the Pooh (who has been immortalized on my upper thigh). Scallop Circle Dress tutorial

Hi friends!  Jennyfer here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Saturday's  Anything goes project. We will be doing a Scallop Circle Dress...in different ways!!!  First, I have my tip of the day for you.... If you don't have a scallop circle punch, use your die cuts dies or your cricut. Onto today's project. Just a note, I do apologise for some of the blurry pictures since I did not check my settings of my camera and that it's heavily loaded with pictures!! I have followed Mementoes in Time's video and have modified the instructions a bit. Here is what you need: Circle punch or cricut cardstock or designer paper embossing folder adhesive ink pad paper cutter bone folder brad Instructions Step 1:  You will need a scallop circle of at least 3". TeePee Card Tutorial

Hi friends!  Jennyfer here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Saturday's  Anything goes project. We will be doing a fun card fold.  First, I have my tip of the day for you.... Have all your items ready before you start. Onto today's project... This is a TeePee card and I have been meaning to try this for a long time and this was inspired from Shelly' s instructions.  Here is what you need: 3 squares of cardstock: yellow - 5" x 5" 2 squares of designer paper - American Crafts - 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" image -  Candy Anneke   prismacolored pencils adhesive ink pad paper cutter stickers bone folder brad Instructions Step 1: cut your cardstock base at 5" x 5"   Step 2: Fold each square in half from one point to the next like shown below.   Step 3 : Glue all folded squares together. Step 4: Cut your designer papers at 4 1/2" each and cut in half, shown below. Step 5: Glue 3 ...
