SFL Sugar Pea Designs Blog Hop

Thanks so very much for joining us today! We are so very excited to bring this fabulous new brand to the website. SugarPea Designs is joining the SFL family. And we could not be happier to have this company. I recently met up with Wendy Ramlakhan, the owner of SugarPea designs and interviewed her about her company. If you missed it you can check out the video on the Scrapping for Less YouTube Channel.

So, lots of SugarPea going on today! Hop on along for inspiration from the Design Team and then head on back to the Scrapping for Less blog to enter the Rafflecopter for a chance to win a SugarPea prize!

I decided to do 2 cards for this hop featuring 2 ways you can use the metal dies that match this Cute Critters stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs. It is just the cutest stamp set!!!!

Here are the 2 cards first...
I used some left over papers from previous SFL Flavor of the Month card kits.
These kits are just awesome.

So you do you see the 2 ways I used the matching dies?!?!

For the lion card, I used the metal die and a mask. First I stamped out the image on my circle and then using a blank die cut of the lion over top the stamp image, I was able to distress color the circle.

For the monkey, I stamped my image and using the metal die with a piece of washi tape to keep it in place, I ran it through my Big Shot.

I hope you are enjoying this hop!!!
Stay tune to more Sugar Pea Design cards throughout the month!

Thanks for hopping by. Now hop over and check out the rest.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
