Tuesday Card Look

Glad you could join us here today.  Teresa here with a card for you....and yes I know Christmas is way past but I wanted to share this card with you for the technique not necessarily the design. I love this technique and it can be done with most any open stencil.

This is a 4bar size card 3.5x4.75
I used some pattern Christmas paper...sorry I don't remember which one.
Four Tree Stencil set from Simon Says Stamp
Hero Arts Stars Pattern Stencil
Tim Holtz Distress Spray Brushed Pewter
Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste
the gold I used some perfect pearl powder to color it
a Christmas sentiment of your choice
gold metallic sewing thread
multi matte medium
Copic multi liner pen
WOW white embossing powder
Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen
Versamark ink

Details:
I used the distress spray to color the white embossing paste then scraped it onto the open Christmas tree stencil. Set aside to let dry and moved on to another card.
Use the white and gold embossing paste to put the stars on the tree.
Tie a bow with the gold metallic thread and use the multi matte medium to attach to the top.
After the tree and stars are completely dry brush with the wink of stella.
Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink and then emboss with the white embossing powder.
Glue panel to card front and add dash lines around perimeter of card.

All products and other crafting products except the Simon Says Stamp item can be purchased at Scrapping for Less.

  1. I bought those stencils to use the same technique which I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog, but never did get around to doing it this year. Oh, well, maybe for Christmas 2015. Your card is lovely. TFS.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
