A Little Halloween Decor for You!

Hi friends!  Sandy here for ScrapBook Blessings Club to share with you Monday's die cutting project. We will be using the Cricut machine today for these projects, yep there is more than one today. 

First, I have my tip of the day for you... Don't Procrastinate! The holidays are coming faster than you can blink. Even the stores already have Christmas up and it is still Sept! So we got it get crackin' on those holiday projects now.

So here are some of the projects I did for our next holiday, Halloween, using the Cricut and the basic Accent Essentials and Plantin School Book Cartridges that came with my machine...

First is this easy to to paper bag...

• The gift bag was made using the cut from Accent Essentials Cartridge and end caps feature for the handle from Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.
• Need Pattern paper for the bag, ribbon and some adhesive to put it all together. Pattern paper gives you a great design on bags and boxes without out needing all those other tools like stamps, inks, etc.
• Tip: Score Tape is strong and works great for projects that need to stay together at the seams like this. I use it for all my boxes, baskets and bags.

Second are these easy to do banners. One is a simple square cut and the other are shaped pumpkins.

• The banners were made using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge, and ribbon. 
•  I punched two holes in each card and threaded the ribbon through the back. 
•  The pumpkins are 5 ovals cut to 3" and layered over lapping. 
•  I drew the faces on with a black sharpie marker.
• Tip: get the kiddos involved. Its a great way to share the holidays!

Third is this paper door hanger decoration.

I made this door banner for a friend who loooves Halloween. This was very easy to make. 

•  I used three different kinds of paper. 
•  The first layer (brown outline) I cut at 3.75", second layer at 3.50". The third layer was a little bit of cheating. I had a paper that had the Halloween words on it and all I did was cut out the words and glue them on. 
•  The pumpkins are made with using the ovals again.
• Tip: use "word" pattern paper in place of stamps. It is a big time saver and such a cute cheat!

And lastly, here is a bonus but I had to show my pumpkins off!

 I made these for my hubby when we were dating for his apartment. I bought the ceramic from the local ceramic shop. And using my scrap book chalks, I "colored" the piece and then used a couple coats of craft sealant to give it a nice gloss. Very easy to do!
