Teresa's First Blogaversary

Hello crafty friends! We have a great blog hop for you today. A little over a year ago Teresa began this new blog to celebrate the fact she wanted a change in her life. And for that change to be permanent came lots of prayer and leaning on God to give the right answers. The answers He needed to give not the answers Teresa desired. Well here we are 1 year later and Teresa is a Stay at Home Wife loving life and doing all she needs to do to create a warm, loving atmosphere for her family!

First, take a look at Teresa's project over at her blog Fresh and Renewed and make sure you comment along the way as Teresa has blog candy for you over at her blog!

Teresa asked all the participants to create something that represented a change in their life...So hop on along. You should have came from Anita, if not then just click on the link above :)

For my project, I wanted to share a BIG change that is happening in my life right now. My sister and brother-in-law are following the call that God has on their life and becoming full-time missionaries in Ethiopia. They have all their funding done, medical shots done and are ready to go. They are just waiting on the sell of their home. So please join me and praying for their house to sell so they can start this new journey.

It is bitter sweet for me because I am going to miss my bff a lot. I take it for granted that I can see her and her family everyday if I want. Anyways, here is what I made for her as a thank you card for the chicldren that have donated their piggy bank money for "Shoes 4 Africa". So, far they have raised $2000 and still raising more! You can read more about them HERE! Please like their facebook page and keep them in your prayers, they covet those more than anything!

I made this easy brad card using Life's a Beach cartridge and my gypsy...

I used Tim Holtz distressed inks, and twine. It was so easy to make!
Thanks for hopping along and seeing what changes that these wonderful crafters have or are going through!

I too, had a similar event in my life and remember how the people around me reacted. My family uprooted from FL to NC for me to attend seminary...my MIL was the most affected...it is hard!

They are doing a wonderful thing though. I will keep them in my prayers! Thanks again and have a blessed day.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
