Flocking

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a review on flocking.  Flocking is simple to apply and can be used on your cards or scrapbook pages - anywhere you want a soft or furry look.    My tip:  When using flocking, resist the urge to "touch" it until dried.
Here is what I used in my example:
  • Cricut Cartridge:  Hello Kitty Greetings
  • Designer Paper:  Recollections
  • Embossing:  the Paper Studio "Tiny Stars"
  • Punch:  EK Success "cloud punch"
  • Accent:  White Flocking

I purchased a set of flocking at Hobby Lobby.  It comes in little vials of different colors.  I'm using white to demonstrate today.

Here is a card I made using the Cricut Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.  The clouds were punched from regular white card stock - and look fine as they are.

After applying flocking to clouds

I applied glue to each cloud and sprinkled with the white flocking material.  This product made the clouds looks and feel soft and fluffy.

Close-up of the clouds
Here's a close-up of the flocked clouds.  The package recommends letting it dry overnight.  I couldn't resist touching . . .

This product could also be used as fur for animals or snow or maybe on Santa's beard. Or even eyebrows on Oscar the Grouch!

Thank you for stopping by today.  As always, your comments are welcomed and appreciated!

  1. I didn't know you shouldn't touch the flocking till it's dry. Good tip. Okay, maybe I should have read (and saved) the directions. TFS.
