Welcome to our August Calendar Girls' Blog Hop. It’s absolutely amazing when you do a Google search the interesting facts you may find. Such a find is special and unique occasions throughout the year!!! These unique holidays are our inspiration. As Neil Sedaka sang in his song "Calendar Girls" - "August, when you're on the beach, you steal the show!"

So without further ado, here are my three days....

First is Nation Radio Day...I used Groovy Times card for this card.



Second is National Tooth Fairy Day...I used a rubber stamp image and create this cute box to stand up on the night stand beside the bed. It is a cute alternative to placing the tooth under the pillow. Just place some cotton in the box and add the tooth. In the morning there is a little bit of fairy dust (glitter) and a coin. This one I made for a co-workers little girl.


And lastly, Frankenstein Day... I don't do Halloween so it was challenging for me but I found this little guy on Paperdoll Dress up cart. I have never used the mean face stamp before so I decided to try it on him. I like the happy ones better. Oh and the kiddos told me that he wasn't scary enough, lol.

    Cute, funny and scary (lol) cards. I can hear the music "thump thump thumping" from the Rock on card, I wish that I had a Tooth Fairy box when I was young, as one year I had 4 teeth that fell out all at the same time. :-0, Frankenstein just made my day, he is cute and I love the sentiment. Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
