I am very excited to have tossed 70 lbs total on the journey. Not only excited but blessed too. Being involved at church this last week for The Passion Play (here's the link) has really shown me how I need to put God first in everything, including my weight.

God knows what I need. He knows I need to be healthy for my family to be with them, and I need to be healthy for him. I am his hands and feet. How can he work thru someone who is in pain, is depressed, hates their self control and the way their body looks? That was me 70 lbs ago.
I'd have never been able to keep up with the pace of this play carrying all the extra baggage on my body. I am able to be used by him and be a blessing to others. In return, by "seeking his kingdom first", he has blessed me. The last thing I have been thinking of is my weight. I didn't have time and when I did, I was too tired to even care, every bone in my body ached. But the end result is 4 lb toss. Wow! I have not seen that number since for a couple of months!

I have made healthy choices this week. At play practice, they had pizza, chips, pie and pop for lunches. I packed my lunch. I knew that food would just attach itself to my hips, lol. I had my fat free ham sandwich on wheat bread and my apple. I supplied my body with food that it needed and was able to burn extra. I also made sure that I carried my 24oz bottle full of ice water. Little changes like these have really helped me.

Praying for a wonderful, healthy week for all my blogland friends :D

This wk's scripture: "So don't ever worry by saying, 'What are we going to eat?'
or 'What are we going to drink?' or 'What are we going to wear?' because it
is the gentiles who are eager for all those things. Surely your heavenly
Father knows that you need all of them! But first be concerned about God's
kingdom and his righteousness, and all of these things will be provided for
you as well. So never worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry
about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:31-34

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
