HYC/BLBE Weigh in

4-14-09: 250 to 251 lbs. This is gonna be short and sweet this week because I am going back to bed. But I REFUSE to miss a weigh in, even when I know it isn't the
240s I soooo wanted to see this week.

Holiday- awesome dinner and left overs, chocolate candy and peeps
plus
Sickness- head/chest cold, ear infection and pounding headaches (I did break down and go to the doctor Monday)
plus
No exercise- my head is gonna explode any minute and I can't breath without coughing/wheezing... I haven't exercise for 8 days!!!!
equals
gaining a pound and rejoicing that it is only one and not ten!!!!!!
I'm NOT going to let this sickness get me down and believe me, I have been tempted quite a few times this past week. I felt like chucking it all in and just go crazy at the fridge. Most people get sick and don't want to eat. I get sick and eating makes me feel better. (((sigh))) Joy...faith...endurance...Joy...faith...endurance (keep repeating it Sandy)

This wk's scripture: James 1:2,3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
