Rosebud Angel

Hi!!!! It's Lynne here as it is Homemade Saturday's at Scrapbook Blessings Club, where the Design Team shares with you projects they are working on that does not include paper. With this being said, I'm sharing with you today what I call a Rosebud Angel. For today's project you need the following supplies:

  • silk rosebud with 1.5 inches left on the stem
  • porcelain angel head and hands set - 1.5 inches
  • chenille stem - approximately 3 inches
  • angel wings
  • about 2-inches of lace
This is such an easy project which takes about 15 minutes with the aid of a glue gun!!!
  • glue a arm in either end of the chenille stem making sure thumbs are up
  • wrap arms chenille stem around stem of flower, adjusting to get hands even on either side of flower

  • put some glue in head and press onto stem and adjust on flower
  • wrap lace around shoulders matching in front

  • now comes the fun part - glue either a bow or flower to cover the front of the lace
  • glue angel wings onto back
  • add a charm or decoration to hand - I've even added at times a small bird but for today's project, I have added a charm from Miriam's Crafting Supplies

viola - one finished angel!!!!!

I had made this purple rose angel previously but unable to find the angel wings I had used!!!!!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
