At CSDivas, we have a Diva of the Month!  This member is spotlighted for the whole month and is a guest DT. She has a special challenge for all members.  For February, the Diva of the Month is Yolie at Just Yolie, Just Create. Her challenge to all Divas is to create a card or layout using recycled materials.  You have a month to complete as many as you can.  She will be picking a winner at the end of the month.  Thanks Yolie!!!

I was looking in my craft closet and just wasn't getting any inspiration.  But as I was at my parents, I noticed all the cards that I make for the kiddos to give Papa was sitting in the hall drawer.  ( Light bulb!!!)  I need to make him a card box for his desk!  (Light bulb #2!!!)  I just  saw some empty Cricut cart boxes!!!  (Light bulb #3)  Make a card box for Yolie's challenge!!!   Plus we're going to give it to Papa with his Valentine's Cards this weekend. Kinda glad it's not pink, lol!

Supplies: Cricut box ( great esp. with the magnet closing), 12x12 pp, adhesive.

Drections: Cut pp to (7 x7 1/2") and 2 strips for the sides (1x 3 1/4")
Spray the paper with adhesive and use glue sticks to paste paper to white sides
Ink the outside edge of box and embellish. with tags, bling and Primas
I made a simple tag with a leaf stamp, distressed the edges with a pair of scissors, antique tag with ink and staple on a piece of "manly" ribbon, lol.  I couldn't find any Primas in the colors that I wanted so I took some different green ones and used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut to antique.
Here is an up close look at the tag
I adhere the tag with some pop dots and here is the final project.  Great challenge Yolie, thanks!!!

I am also offering blog candy to anyone who comments not just on this post post but all week!  I will add up all the comments and pick a winner on Feb 15th!!!  Here it is:
See you tomorrow!!!
Now let's hop to DENINE to see her awesome creation!!!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
