Scrapbook Blessings Club

Looking forward to some challenges this coming month!  Here is one for CSDivas... Make a St. Patrick's Theme Project.  It can be a card, layout or home decor, but it has to have the color green and a pot of gold somewhere on it.  Here is what I came up with... Leprechaun and pot of gold- PaperDoll Dress Up Rainbow- Create a Critter Shamrock- Designer's Calendar Also for FCCB , the challenge is to create a shape card, something other than a square or rectangle.  I thought the shamrock would be perfect.  Using my Gypsy, I was able to take two shamrocks, flip the second one, and weld them together.  Here is the inside... For the sentiment on Designer's Calendar, I used my Cricut green marker and traced it out.  But because it was only 2 inches, I needed to trace it again with my black marker pen. Here is my second challenge for the month for CSDivas ... For this challenge, we're doing brad cards. These are sooo easy and fun to do. Here are a couple I did from a book my BFF gave me... Step one: Cut out a shape Step two: Cut out the shadow/blackout Step three: Attach the two in one place with a brad so it swings Step four: Embellish your card, hiding your brad if you want. Ice Cream Cone: I used a button for the cherry and glued over top of brad (Indie) Car: I used buttons again for the headlight, I glued one over a brad and the other I used pop dots so they are sitting up the same  (Graphically Speaking) Star: I used a brad under the top star along with pop up dots to hide the brad. (George) Can't wait to see what you do! If you don't have a Cricut, no worries, you can still play. Take a two shapes like a square, circle, heart and attach them together with a brad and then decorate as normal :) Perfect way to use your scraps for a quic...

I've lost 90 lbs, and I have 100 followers now on my scrapbooking blog!!!!! Yeah!!!! I want to shout it from the top of the Empire State Building (waiting for 100 before I go to the moon to shout it, lol)!!! I was thinking some blog candy is in order and motivation for me. We had such a great response to CSDiva's Valentine's Blog Hop .  It was a lot of fun, and the Diva challenges were awesome. Here is my most recent picture.  This was taken last night at our church's Valentine couples dinner.  Isn't hubby cute, lol?!?!  I was having a good hair night too.  Just got it cut and it is so easy to style now. The almost new me, lol 

My stall finally broke!!!!  It has been two weeks of jumping between 240-242lb.  I was so excited to 239 this morning!  It has been very frustrating and before, I would have said "chuck it, I'll eat what I want", but with WLS, I counldn't do that and that alone is worth going through surgery. I went shopping yesterday at Fashion Bug.  It was very exciting to not have to go to the 3/4x racks.  I took a moment just looking at them.  It was a surreal moment.  I took a bunch of 2x shirts in with me and guess what?!?! Some of them were too big, "what the heck, noway!"   So my next trip I took both 1/2x!  Some fit, most didn't but it was great to be able to try them on. The other thing I saw was the dreaded bathing suits.  But you know what?  I don't think I'm dreading them this summer.  I say that now, we'll see when it comes time to putting them on, lol!
