Pillow box favor

Decorate to Celebrate   is having a Holiday Party challenge. There are so many creative scrapper that participated.  You need to stop by and check out the inspiration. I decided to do a little favor for our upcoming cookie exchange.  I made a little pillow box using my Gypsy and Cricut using George and Shapes cart.  I just welded my shaped together and cut in out.  Easy to do... I decorated with pattern paper, fiber ribbon, inked the edges and made a little tag to attach.  Nothing fancy but I think they will look pretty on the table. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

No red or green...say WHAT?!?!?

Celebrate the Occasion has a cute challenge going on right now... Christmas card or layout but don't use the colors red and green...hmmm...how about pink and brown??? The pretty rosette is 1.75x12", score at ever .25".  The angel embelli is from K and Co. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

My Rudolph

The Christmas decorations are all up, cookies baked and Christmas music playing so it is time to start on the cards! I just did this cute little card from Christmas.  I just love this little guy!  He is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. and the border punch is a Martha Stewart one... I inked around the pattern paper and stamped a little sentiment to finish it off.  I am not a fu-fu person.  Clean and simple is my preference, and I really like how this little guy is the focal point. There are some great challenges going on at my favorite site right now!  First is Cardz TV , then we have Die Cutting Divas , Exploring Cricut and also Paper Playtime .  These are by far favorites of mine.  Stop by and check them out! \ Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Sunday Blessings

This post is a little late today.  I have been on the run and have finally sat down to catch my breath. For December, I am sharing my favorite Christmas songs.  Carol of the Bell is a wonderful favorite of mine. So today is the first Sunday of Advent and that got me thinking.... what does this mean to me? Advent comes from the Latin word meaning arrival. It is the time of year that we celebrate the coming birth of our Savior.  The candles representing Hope, Faith, Joy, Peace and Love.  The colors are 3 for royalty, pink for joy and white for His birth.  A wonderful reminder. But I want to take it a step further.  While keeping His birth in remembrance, I think it is even more important to look towards His arrival for us.  The time that He comes as the bridegroom for His bride, the church. Two thousand years ago, it was the preparation of our Savior's arrival as foretold by the prophets.  Two thousand years later, we are in preparation f...
