A Day at the El Paso Zoo

Time is flying by as it's almost the end of June...summer's flying!  A year ago, while on vacation in El Paso, Texas visiting my son and family (he's stationed there at Ft. Bliss) we took a hot summer day and went to the El Paso Zoo and walked some of the zoo.  As it was hot, we didn't get the whole zoo visited; and hopefully we can go back again so I can get the elephants and other animals we missed.... Here is a 2-page layout I created using the Zoo kit from/by Creative Kuts   Page 1   On page 1 I print and cut the Zoo animals using my Silhouette Studio DE (Cricut Design Space claimed the elephant was too 'big' to print and I didn't want to print smaller!).  The rest was cut out using my SCAL 3 program; and pieced together as best as I could, especially the palm tree and bushes.  (puzzles and me don't get along!) On page 2 of the layout the rock wall and zoo border I purchased from SilhouetteAmerica Design Store and placed there in...

In The Doghouse Digital Scrapbook Page

Hi, Carolyn with another digital layout using these files from:   In The Doghouse  Dog Prints Dog Food Set (I would display pics of her pieces but she does not watermark her items properly.) And here is my layout I worked up.... Now to the recipe: Papers, and bubble wordart from Puppy Dog Mini Kit Photo of my son's dog - special attachment to Bella because we took care of her for two years while my son and family was in Korea. Layout was created using Adobe Photoshop Elements, and from tutorial on how to create a torn paper edge in PixelScrapper Digital Scrapbooking I hope your enjoyed today's project too. Mini album

Hey kids!  Happy Friday! Cindy back on the blog today.  I've created a mini album for each of the girls in my daughter's brownie troop.  The troop started two years ago and this mini has pictures from the various events or fun activities they participated in.  Since I had 14 books to make I kept the design simple :-)  These little books were handed out at their bridging ceremony.  They are now on to Girl Scouts.  Wooo-hoo! I used cereal boxes for the covers.  I cut them on my Cricut using a deep cutting blade set at 6, low speed, max pressure and multi cut @ 2.  The covers measure 6 3/4" square and the actual pages are 6 1/2 x 6 1/2".  I just glued two pieces of patterned paper together to form the pages.  The pictures are 4 x 6.  Front cover.  I used Elegant Edges Cricut cart - butrfly1 @ 6 3/4" using the book feature.  Sasha was cut using Cricut Craft Room Basics.  The letters are 1" and I welde...

Spring Time Layout for NSD

Today is considered National Scrapbook Day across the crafting community, and I would like to share a 2-page layout that I just finished for Creative Kuts ChooChoo Train using theme Spring Time. The Girl with water hose, butterflies, Spring Time title and May; and white daisies from the Spring Time kit from Creative Kuts.   The cut file "Flower Bed"  a free file from Scrappy Dew . Girl with Water Hose is print than cut using Cricut Explore Design Space.  It cuts out neater than the Silhouette Cameo Studio DE - no white edges to trim off like the Studio DE has!  Butterflies are also print than cut - easier to cut around the smaller pieces of the item. Since I did not have gray paper in my stash, I used a yellowish colored card stock, layered with the top stone, and than placed taller grass in front  I believe the grass file is from the online library for Make the Cut software.   I hope your enjoyed today's project too. If you have a q...

Spring Moments Layout

For today's layout I have what I call Spring Moments which is the title I have given to Cheryl Scrapinmini's April's Choo-Choo Train Kit which you can find on Facebook Supplies used: 12x12 mats from Stampin! Up collection as well as the grass and the top mats of the ovals (eggs) Journal cards and Spring Moments sentiment (Journal Card) from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking Elements for kit from Creative Kuts Bunnies and Girl I retweaked so I can print than cut on my Cricut Explore Design Space.  The flowers also print than cut and from one of my many scrapbook clipart sources.  The grass was for another project that didn't just quite fit, so I trimmed and placed over the bunny.   I hope your enjoyed today's project too. Another Friday Layout to share

The above two 12x12 layouts are ready to place photos in the empty spots, and than print and place in a scrapbook.  These two pages I worked on while in El Paso, Texas visiting and helping my son and family as my DT duties was put on hold while there. (No machines, cardstock etc to work with!!) Now this digital 4x6 layout is completed, just needs to be printed.  But, in this case, I need to order more plastic cover sheets.... The embellishments from various scrapbook kits; and Snowman with Lights I believe from misskatecuttables ; and 2014 I loaded the paper into Adobe Photoshop Elments and created a mask of the numbers to give it the newspaper look (thanks to the tutorials over at Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking ). I hope your enjoyed today's project too. If you have a questions or suggestions, please leave it in the comments.
