This is me.

I decided to start a new blog page just for my journey into a healthy me. I decided to name it Why Weight? This is a question I have asked myself over the years. What am I waiting for? Is it for the new year to come around, for the upcoming holiday to get here and then start fresh? To get ready for a wedding, anniversary, reunion? Or the big one for me... I'll wait after I'm done having babies.

I am a lucky girl. I have a hubby that loves me now matter what my size is. Size has never been an issue for him, just my happiness. Well I am pregs with my third baby and have to say not very happy right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled we are having a new baby just unhappy with the way my body is feeling right now. Have you ever seen a plus-size preggo mama working full-time, nine months pregnant and chasing a 3 and 1 yr old around? This equals a very tired, hurting (physically) unhappy woman.

Now that I see the light at the end of tunnel and I'll have my little girl in my arms, guess where my mind is traveling. Yep you got it... I can't wait until I can start loosing weight. Oh it is going to be so easy, blah, blah, blah... Who am I fooling? This is going to my toughest challenge yet. I'm not even going to say the "D" word. I'm just looking for support on this journey.

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
