Rainbow Loom Bracelet

Hey kids!  It's Cindy back on the Scrapbook Blessing Club blog today with your Simply Homemade project.  My kiddos both got Rainbow Looms for Christmas.  And it's been pretty non-stop making different ones.  I must say it's quite addicting :-)  LOL!!  So, this one is called Long Cross Fishtail.  You just use 6 of the pegs on your loom.  It's quite easy one you get the pattern down.  Utube video here.   If this one isn't for you there are tons more.  So, let's loom it up :-) I'm using neon pink and white bands. Here is the beginning stages. Keep going until it reaches the right length. And the finished bracelet. I hope I've inspired you to try something new today.  Have you joined our FB group ?  There's always something fun going on. Thanks for stopping by today! Cindy--- In Love with PAPER

Friday Vintage Layout

Hello and welcome to all our scrappy and crafty friends. So happy you could join us today for Layout Friday. My name is Barbara and I am going to show you my version of a vintage layout. Tips for a Vintage Layout: Select vintage photos Make your photos appear vintage by recoloring them to sepia, black and white or lightly tinted Choose neutral colors or muted green as your main colors Choose one accent color, but not bright colors. A dark red works well. Choose your embellishments carefully use many layers and textures do not use original photos, get new prints of old photos. Recipe: Jenni Bowlin vintage papers Jenni Bowlin stamps burlap red velvet sheer ribbon red velvet flowers red, black and cream brads Here is my completed layout: To begin I get out all my vintage look papers and embellishments and take note of my neutral color cardstock and mist and other mediums. I then choose three vintage looking stamps to use for embellishments. ...

Welcome to the Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company May Blog Hop!  This month's New Stamp Set Releases are   Featured  May 15 Tiger Lily &  Tree Frogs Here is my take using these two stamps. The first one is the Tiger Lily. I did the emboss resist tech. One of my favorites and every easy to do.  emboss image with black embossing powder and heat gun pick color markers, for this tech, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers work the best. Scribble marker over clear stamp block using water pen (or paint brush) pick up ink and color image. Next is the Tree Frog Stamp Set: I used color pencils and OMS for this image. Using Bic markers, I scribbled the green background and did some doodle framing in black. Hope to see you tomorrow for our last hop project. Featured   May16 Bearded Iris Please  hop along with us!
