A Hundred Hearts Card

Welcome Friends!  And welcome Spring!  Makes my heart happy.   Here's a card I made using the Sketch posted on the SBC Facebook Page.   I made this card using my Silhouette Cameo.  My tip: If using Silhouette, design and save your card layout to enable re-use of your creation.

  • Sketch:  SBC Facebook
  • Designer Paper:  Silhouette
  • Ribbon:  Michael's
  • Sentiment:  unknown author

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Starting with the SBC FB Sketch, I created an outline and layout of how I wanted my card.

I used banners found in the Silhouette store and color-filled them using the basic colors found in the Silhouette software.  I always save an image of how the final card should look on the left (off of the cutting mat).  That way, if I ever want to make this card again, I'll know how it should look when finished.   Designing your card this way produces a Print and Cut version that can easily be reproduced (handy when making cards for OWH).

Top layer is one piece and attached using foam tape.  Edges were inked using Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Inside of card is just one layer as well.  All printed and cut on the Silhouette.

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
