We are excited to announce our new SBC Design Team Members. So with our further ado,
our new SBC girls....

Hi, my name is Zenita Smith (aka Scrappinwith'Z). I live in a small town in Southeast Missouri where I'm a Special Education aide in a public school that has less than 250 students K-12. I'm the mom of 4 great boys ranging from 27 to 11. My husband, Greg and I have been married for 30 years. I first started scrapbooking about 10 years ago when we first began the adoption process of our youngest two boys. I had been buying products for years but had never used them...lol. I immediately fell in love with scrapbooking!! About 5 years ago I couldn't think of what to get my grandmother for Christmas and decided to make her some cards. I really enjoyed making the cards (even though Grandma never did mail any of them, she said they were to pretty...lol) and that is where it all really began. I was introduced to Copics and wanted to learn more, so I went to classes and became beginner and intermediate certified. I have fell in love with coloring digis and creating different style cards.

If I gave one tip in coloring with alcohol markers would be do not give up!! If you want to learn how to do something find the information through classes or internet. There are so many great tutorials on the internet that anyone can learn how to color!! Just practice, practice and then practice some more!! ~Z

Hello Crafty Friends! My name is Brenda. My hubby of 19 years, my pre-teen daughter and I live in Arizona.  I am so excited to be a part of the Scrapbook Blessings Club DT!  I love to craft and have been doing so for as long as I can remember.  I really think it all started with my first set of crayons when I was little! I love it all…rubber stamping, card making, scrapbooking and using my Cricut. Besides loving all crafts I also have a weakness for anything Disney and vintage toys and books.  I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and seeing the wonderful things that you create!

My craft tip for you is always use a new blade and a slow speed when cutting something intricate with your Cricut machine.

My name is Melissa Lipcsey, and I am a proud doggy mama to two beautiful Pitbulls and a Yorkie. I am a transplant to the Central New Jersey area. I have been a serious crafter for the past six or so years. For me, there is nothing more relaxing than to sit down and just create. I love to see the expressions on people's faces when I make them something beautiful and unique. I enjoy using my Cricut and Cameo to create home decor projects and cards. I look forward to hopefully teaching you all new tricks, as well as learning new ones, too.
My Craft Tip; There is nothing worse than a craft explosion on your work surface at the end of making a project. Do yourself a favor and clean as you go as best you can. Then when the project is done, you're not bogged down with a craftalanche, aka an avalanche of crafting supplies. :)

Hi, my name is Barbara Faulk I am a retired nurse. I worked with sick babies and children for over 25 years. I would not trade those years for anything, the experiences of actually helping families survive and thrive in the face of a sick child were so rewarding. I am now a full time artist. I sell some cards on Etsy. I scrapbook or make cards or other paper crafts almost every day and I love it. I started scrapbooking as a teenager when we used scotch tape and have never stopped. It is fun to look at really old pages when we used white cardstock and stickers and black pens for journaling and cut our photos into fun shapes. But, I really love how artistic scrapbooking has become. I like to picture my great grandchildren looking at these albums someday and knowing about God's blessings on their ancestors. I am a horder! At one time I belonged to six kit clubs at once. Made trips to the post office loads of fun! I have made many great friends through this hobby as well.
My tip: Get messy, use paint, mists, glitter, beads, and anything else that will stick to paper and make your projects personal.

Hi! I'm Kim Smith I live in the Sunshine state with my hubby. I have two little dogs that are my babies and an outside cat that I have adopted and fallen in love with. I work full time for a call center and crafting is my escape! I have been crafting for as long as I can remember and when I found out about coloring stamped images I was SMITTEN! Scrapbooking, card marking, stamping, even crocheting I just really enjoy being creative and getting to play with different materials.

My Favorite Crafting Tip: If you love it use it! Stop saving your favorite purchases for later! If you love it too much to part with it make something for yourself, I too am working on following this advice! :)
You can check out my crafting adventures over at Creations by Kimmy. Keep on crafting!
Thanks so much!

  2. I am so happy to see the new dt and the old still here too. I love the tips you ladies are giving. I must follow the one about cleaning up as I go the best I can, because it really does get depressing to have a messy explosion on my desk afterwards and cuts down on my creativity too. Congratulations ladies! Can't wait to see more of your projects. :)

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
