Welcome to the 29th edition of "Meet Me On Monday!" brought to you by Java. "Its a great way to to meet new friends and for others to get to know me better....one Monday at a time!!!"....as quoted by the Chacogirl!! I will make this SIMPLE and FUN!!! 1. Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I don't call them resolutions. I call them goals and yes I do make them...I make plans to be a better person in different areas of my life...one that I made this year is to get back to morning 'Quiet Time' before computer time....I also make project goals such as finishing UFOs....the genealogy scrapbooks that I made this year, for my family was one project that had been on my list for a couple of years. 2. What food item are you craving right now? Well, since I haven't had breakfast yet, I'm just wanting food, period. However, for a week or so, I've been craving a good steak...I don't eat red meat very often and it has probably been a year since
Hope your having a blessed Sunday. I had an extra bonus. My hubby was off and able to go to church too. It was so nice having extra hands to get the kids ready. I was able to get my make up on too and not in the rear view mirror on the way to church!!! I'm starting to see the fruit of my weight loss now. I wore a size smaller pants and shirt plus..... HIGH HEELS!!! I didn't have pain! That's a biggie for me. If you know me, you know I love my shoes!!! The question I ask my self... "What did I do this for?", plays over and over in my mind. I did this not only to feel good, be healthy, wear high heels, lol... I did this so I could be the woman, wife, mother that God wants me to be. I love this song, LIFESONG by Casting Crowns. There is more than just me that is going to be affect and/or changed by what God has enabled me to do. Empty hands held high Such small sacrifice If not joined with my life I sing in vain tonight May the words I say And the th

Scrappers Sanctuary challenge projects

Here are a couple of projects that I came up with for The Scrappers Sanctuary challenge site, a great challenge site/forum.... Hope you play along, they have some awesome prizes and great inspiration!!!

My last summer layout til next year

Welcome to the Splish Splash Challenge with the Creative Cutter Room! How about a challenge? Theme: Splish Splash!! Any project with water on it! Missing Summer already? Behind on the lay-outs for this past summer at the beach, need to make a Thank you note for crashing at a friend's pool? Now is the time to catch up! I'm missing summer already!  Here is my layout of my little one's first time at the beach.  She was too funny, didn't know what to make of the sand and just cried and cried when I put her in the water, lol! Stop of a Cricut Creative Cutter Room for some great fun! Cartridge used: George and Basic Shapes

Our Sunday Sermon Series

I love that a perfect God can love and use such an imperfect being...ME!

Double Layout

Colorful Creations has some great challenges.  This is the last one I did, it is a double layout using two pp, three different flowers. I love how these turn out but when I put them in the album, I switched them around and like it much better. I'm looking for some other great challenge sites, this is were I get my inspiration, lol.  Leave me a link if you do a good one!

CAS= Clean and Simple

OWH Stars and Stamps is having a blog skip today and I love the concept!!!! What's CAS stand for? Clean and simple! That's not nearly as easy to achieve as it might seem. A single sticker or stamp on skimpy cardstock may come across as done too fast; the design and the quality of the materials - these can make the difference! As was said on  Thursday's OWHtv , quoting Kate..."CAS is the little black dress of stamping!" Here is my take on a CAS card and I plan on doing more of them.   This appeals to me more than some of those foo-foo cards.  You know, the ones where people take out stock on Prima Flowers and pearls, lol!  Thanks for the inspiration OWH !!!

CSDivas' Thursday Card post

This is my Thursday card post for Creative Scrapbooking Divas .  Everyday there is a different post/project you can check out and every week we have a great challenge for you. Ever have "card block"?  You know, where you sit down, want to make a card for someone and just stare at you supplies and wonder what in the world to do.  That has been me all month, lol.  UNTIL!!!! recently!  I found a wonderful tool to help me with my inspiration and just have to share it with you! Operation Write Home is a great site where homemade cards are sent over seas to service men and women.  They in return fill out the card and sent it back home to loved ones.  How cool is it for a little one to get a Elmo birthday card from mommy or daddy in the mail?!?!?   I just love this site and have sent out cards but they have a wonderful link with sketches made by OWH cardmakers.  They do sketches all the time and you can find them all in one place. Here are a couple of cards I made recently

CSDiva Sunday Challenge

This weeks challenge is brought to you by DT Yolie: Your challenge is to create a layout, one page or two, or a card using any of these colors: Orange ,  Blue  or  Green,  these must be your only colors.   You can use all three or just two, if you like, you may even do a monochramatic project Here is my take on the challenge... I am soooo behind on my layouts, I need challenges to inspire me.  At least give me a starting point.  This is my son Sam.  I'm sad to say, he is 4 now... that's how far behind I am, lol. Stop by CSDivas and check out Yolie's creation.  Its just beautiful!

Challenge: Faithbooking - Freedom!!

This week's challenge at CSDivas is a Faithbooking one!  DT Vanessa challenges us to faithbook about Freedom and what it mean to us!  Here is the page that I did... These are the 2 scriptures that I chose.  My freedom is a blessing on grace and mercy! Galatians 3:22 But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of  freedom  only by believing in Jesus Christ.  Galatians 4:5   God sent him to buy  freedom  for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.
