Happy Memorial Day

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 For some Americans, Memorial Day is just a day off work. A day of picnics, parades, and barbecues. But I do ask that you think about the reason for this day....the reason that so many have seemingly forgotten. Memorial Day is a day to remember the fallen. For so many Americans right now, it's filled with fresh grief. Mothers missing their sons, fathers thinking of daughters they'll never walk down an aisle, children who don't understand why daddies never came home as promised. Take a moment today to remember these families. Tell them that their hero's sacrifice is remembered. For those reading this who have lost a loved one in war. . . please accept my condolences. Our nation is what she is because of people like your dear one, and we owe you a debt of gratitude that is impossible to repay. Please visit Operation Write Home

My Mom's day present came!

I'm not one to run out to get the newest thing on the market. Usually, I wait and with this Gypsy, I'm glad I did. Reading the message boards and such, there seemed to be bugs with it and such. But because I waited, bugs have been addressed,  there is a wealth of site with great info and You Tube rocks on how-to videos!!! I am so excited!!! I finally got my Gypsy! The start up was very easy. I had no problems which I am very grateful for!  A great site to check out is Gypsy Tech at the Provocraft message boards.  They have one section "Step by step instructions", it was like my own person tutor.  Now, I'm just waiting for Mr Postman to deliver my Gypsy A to Z dvd! One thing that kinda suprise me when I took it out of the box, was how thin and lightweight it is!  It always looked a little chuncky to me in pictures and on HSN.  Anyway, Me and Gypsy Rose (my pet name for her, lol) are fast becoming great friends!

Fantabulous Cricut #10

Challenge #10 Bags, Boxes Bonanza include the color Black: Create a 3-D project using the color black anywhere on your project....  I don't have a lot of cartridges to makes boxes and such, and what I did have, wasn't what I wanted so I decided another route, lol.  Here are the treat bags that I made for my son, Sam's B-Day party.  (It's also my first Gypsy project!!!) Platin, Everyday Paperdolls, Zooballoo, Gypsy Font  Black 4x4 cardstock folded in half over cellophane bag and stapled.  Football, grass and letters all sized with the Gypsy to fit on the black.  I didn't pay attention to the sizes but luckily, I saved the file on the Gypsy so I can make more for later birthdays, just change the football and grass to something else. I also want to thank Angi @ Cokie Pop Paper !  I won the Robotz cart during The Fantabulous Cricut Crawl!

Cricut Crawl con't!

Project with multiple techniques: -  Angi gave detailed instructions on how to make an accordion flower.  For this LO, I did them little different, but they were still folded accordian style. - Brenda challenged us to create a journal box with our Cricut.  I used my cut outs a jornal boxes. Everyone at the crop thought that was a "sweet" idea, lol. - Candace wanted some embossing on a Cricut cut. I used the flower folder and swirl folder. Here is a closer picture... - Lori wanted us to use a die cut negative.  I used the insde of a cut from a frame, sliced off the edge and used it as part of the border piece. - Nana challenged us to use a Gypsy. I don’t have Gypsy, it's on route (my mother's day present).  However, Nana she said that if we didn’t have a Gypsy we could incorporate a swirl into our project.  I chose to use the swirl heart from Hannah Montana Cartridge. - Penny wanted us to use a shadow.  I did that with the cupcake and heart from the Stamping Solu
