Howdy! It's Melissa here with a Side Step Birthday card for you. This is the first time I've ever made this card fold, and I have to say, I can see this becoming quite addictive. Here is the Youtube tutorial I followed to make the base.
Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,
Melissa
Tip: Don't be afraid to try new folds!
The decoration for this card is pretty straight forward. I did a lot of it by hand, because I wanted to keep it simple. I used patterned paper from Crate Paper's Party Day 6x6 paper pad. I also used some off-white/cream cardstock for my base. I punched some "frosting" using a Fiskars treading water border punch. I inked (almost) everything with a rust colored chalk ink from ColorBox soft pastel. I cut some flame shapes, and then put liquid glass from Close To My Heart on top, to make them shiny.
Thank you for taking a peek at my project! Come visit me on my blog.
Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,
Melissa
