Good morning Friends. Carolyn here for Scrapbook Blessing's Club Tuesday - Cards with my Waterfall Birthday Card. Tip: when in doubt about how to put this together, watch a lot of videos on youtube! That's my lifesaver!!
Here is the card I created:
I love the final outcome of this card and it's not as difficult to create as it may look. Only reason I watched a youtube tutorial is how to attach the waterfall strip to the strip across (and each time I create I will have to watch the video again!!)
This view is where I pulled the decorated waterfall down. I stamped sentiment from a retired stamp set from Stampin! Up (4-piece) that states 'Celebrate' and added a gemstone on corner. Plus I punched a hole in center of strip for a ribbon pull.
The butterflies I used is a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, and the smaller butterflies was from a kit supplied to me by my Stampin Up upline for a card project. I attached the across band with two brads.
As you can see I need to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure that my sentiments are straight. And this sentiment, purchased several years at a Archivers Store up north, was used for the inside of this card. I stamped on a similar color cardstock, and used a decorative ruler for scalloping the edges and than distress inked the edges. Plus I used my finger-tip daubers and daubed Tea Stain dots over the card piece. Placed two gemstones on each inner-corner and I have a birthday card to send to someone.
Supplies used:
Thank you for stopping by to visit with us here at Scrapbook Blessings Club, and you may also come on over to my blog here to see more of my projects that I have created.
