This month, I did cards using my Cricut. They range from a basic 3 min card to a fancy fold one. As always let me know if you have any Cricut/Gypsy and/or CCR questions.

Here is my first card for May 4th BIRD DAY....

  •  Black card stock for base
  • Songbird for images and words
  • Birdcages cut at 1.75" and words cut at 3/4"  (remember: height is from the highest to lowest point, in this case, the g and h letters)
  • A sheet of pattern paper and just assemble.
Easy card to do, took all of 3 mins and that was after I chose my paper (that took the longest). Here is the inside...  I used my Gypsy to weld the letters together to say "a happy birthday to you", the font is Songbird also.

Next I have for you, May 9th, LOST SOCK MEMORIAL DAY...  This is a common occurrence at our house, so today is in honor of all those lost matches, RIP!

  •  Using Gypsy or CCR, weld together two sock images to make the white card base.  I used footwear from Everyday Paper Dolls.
  • The font is from Don Juan and "miss" is welded together
  • The "o" is a 1" circle, stamped with Peachy Keen character face stamp (poor little guy)
  • Using T.H. antique linen distress ink, color the card stock. Use antique linen distress marker and outline/"decorate" the poor sock.
Lastly, in honor of May 20th, Pick Strawberries Day, I have a cute bushel of strawberries for you...

  • Basket cut from Doodlecharms, basket @ 2"
  • Strawberry at 1" from Paisley cart.
  • Sentiment font Designer's Calendar, letters sized 1" and welded together
  • piece together using foam dots for basket and bottom berry and place onto pattern paper

  • inside layer has a journal tag from the paper pack, which is Summer Fresh from Simple Stories.

  • here is the inside, as you can see this card is a pamphlet fancy fold...SURPRISE!!! lol
Card fold:
  • start with 8.5" x 10.5" card stock
  • score horizontally at 3.5" and 7" and fold at creases
  • measuring down 2" from top of card, cut the left and right flaps horizontally (see above for example)
  • finish card measure 3.5" x 8.5"

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
