Festive Friday- MCCR

Hi Friends!  It is TGIF and bring up the weekend!!!!!

Today is Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room and I wanted to share with you how I do by goodie bag toppers for parties.  Here are my examples...
Okay let's get started!

The first one is this pretty butterfly one and it is very basic.  It is designed using the images unaltered on the cartridges. No CCR or Gypsy needed...

  • Start with your base, for all of these I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, (using Mirror key) I cut it at 5" (then fold in half)
  • Using Birthday Cakes, cut the butterfly base in purple at 3" and layers in pink also 3"
  • Let's Party cut at 1', on the Birthday Cakes cart also
  • used marker pens to make border

Next, Is a topper that I created and altered using Gypsy or CCR... (these will be for my son's 6th birthday this month)
  • Start with your base, for all of these I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, (using Mirror key) I cut it at 5" (then fold in half)
  • Swords cut at 3" from Paper Doll Dress Up. (these are the knight swords so after I cut them, I trimmed them up free hand to make them narrow and then I colored them to make them look more like light sabers from Star Wars)
  • The letters are from Birthday Cakes.  Using the Gypsy/CCR, weld them together and cut at 1/2"
  • Using white marker pen, add the dots (going for the star look, lol)

Finally, the last topper is one that I made from using Gypsy/CCR...
  • Start with your base, for all of these I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, (using Mirror key) I cut it at 5" (then fold in half) and set aside
  • making the top layer...use Gypsy or CCR, weld letters from Birthday Cakes, (using shadow key) to the base and cut from white card stock.  The letters welded to the base are "h,a,p,p,y and y.
  • cut the letters again (not using the shadow key) in green and adhere(the hyphen is a dot left over from one of the letters)
  • Dinosaur cut at 2" from Paper Doll Dress UP in pattern paper of green and gray.  Using the black marker pen, outline all the cut marks and finally add a googly eye.
  • Finish off the topper using color pencils in blue and greens
Well that's it!  Party Toppers for any machine/level/time.  Are you ready to start on your treat toppers?  As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
