CSDiva Jan Challenges

We have a bunch of great challenges starting over at CSDivas I wanted to share with you. If you want to join a great group of Divas, now is the time. Most of the challenges include prizes. I'll keep a running list here :)

Card Fold Challenge

 What's Inside the Card
 Your  challenge is to do something creative to the inside of your card too!! Doodle, add a flower like I did, a ribbon, a stamp. Show us your work!

* This is a monthly challenge for the whole year. You just have to follow the page map and put in the photos for that month. Makes great memories.
Use an Advertisement Challenge!
* a fun challenge where you pick an ad from the newspaper and use that as your pagemap!

At CSDivas we are having our first Blog Hop of the 2011.


We will have inspiring challenges to document our Holidays and also have the chance to win some prizes!

There will be 7-8 challenges for you to create and play, created specially by our fabulous and creative Design Team members!

After the Blog Hop you will have such a great sense of achievement for finishing the challenges that you will like to continue all year long!

If you are like, you will be asking yourself, what to should I prepare, here is a small list to get ready to play:

1) Schedule some "me time"

2) Gather or print your Holidays pictures, the ones you want to scrapbook (from presents, celebrations, traditions, etc)

3) Choose some Holidays papers you been saving for that special layout. These will be those special layouts!!!

You must be a member to post your challenges and that take all of 3 secs to sign up on the ning board, easy peasy!  Hope to see ya there!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
