Shaker Card Tutorial

This is my very last post here at Scrapbook Blessings Club as I have decided to do some changing up over at my own company Scrapping for Less. In case you do not know Scrapping for Less is a Facebook Group/Store where I sell Scrapbook and Card supplies at less than retail cost. Birthday Card!

Teresa here from Fresh and Renewed ...Back again with another birthday card...this time for a very dear Aunt. I had this image in my stash...I have no idea where it came from...back in the day before I knew it wasn't keen to participate in stamped image swaps I did that and I think this may be where the image came from. Pansies are my second favorite flower and if my aunt is anything like her daughter she absolutely loves flowers. My favorite color of Pansy is purple...that deep dark purple. All of these combined are the reason I colored this image purple. Hope you enjoy! Special Cards

Teresa here from over at Fresh and Renewed.   Thankful Thought: I get to spend my Dad's 82nd birthday with him. We live several states apart so it is extra nice to be able to be with him this year.     I am back today with 2 very special  cards. Card #1 is for my step-mother. I was able to use a stamp I have been wanting to use for some time.         Card #2 is my dad's card. I decided to make him a really fun card.     Hope you enjoyed these really fun cards today. Happy Cool Birthday!

Beginning in January the first 3 months of the year for me are slammed with various birthdays in my family. I have not been on time getting cards to the recipients but I am working hard at doing that! So here is card #1 for the share! I was very excited to use some of these items as they were brand new to me and had not been sitting in my stash forever before using them. Birthday Flowers

Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I've got a fun fold birthday card to share with you.  It's the Joy fold and it's also the optional twist on our current challenge.  You can view that post and also enter the challenge here . TiP:  Don't be afraid to try new folds.  They are fun to make and to receive :-)  Cut your cardstock to 6 1/4 x 4 1/4".  I will refer to this one as the base .  Cut another at 6 x 3".  I will refer to this one as the flap .  Score the base piece @ 4 1/4".  Score the flap @ 3".   Fold them both on the score lines.  (sorry about this pic)  Attach the flap in the center of the bigger side of the base as shown.  And this is what it looks like closed.  Easy peasy, right?!! Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I'm using a retro Cricut cart called Nifty Fifties .  Isn't it fun?! TiP:  Use black cardstock for the shadow on your die-cuts.  When you have a really busy background patterned paper this black shadow helps define the image and gives it depth.  My MIL is turning 75 soon and they are throwing her a retro party.  So, this is the card I came up with :-)  I hope she likes it! Birthday Confetti Card

Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I have a fun confetti card to share with you today.  So grab those sequins you've got in your stash and let's make a card :-) TiP:  For the acrylic sheet in this project you could use packaging from a cartridge or an embossing folder, etc. Supplies: Acrylic sheet (I used a 12x12 sheet from Oriental Trading Co) Elegant Edges Cricut cart sequins Glossy Accents  Elegant Edges Cricut cart - Circle2 @ 3 3/4" using the oblong frame feature.  Cut the acrylic sheet using med speed, max pressure and multi cut @ 2.  Arrange your sequins and adhere with Glossy Accents.  Adhere the acrylic sheet to the oval frame and then to the shadow piece.  I just applied adhesive to the oval frame to keep the acrylic sheet clear.
