In The Mine 12x12 Process Video // Multi Photo

Hello everyone, welcome back! My name is Katelyn and I am sharing with you some tips on how to make poorly printed photos work for you. I have a whole process video explaining all of the details as well, so be sure to check that out. This layout includes three photos that are very, very similar. Which helps tell the story. I hope you enjoy!

Some times we get photos from our home printers or from third party printing sites that didn't come out the way we anticipated. The photo in my example was not processed correctly on the right hand side which you can see in the beginning of the video. However, I figured that instead of requesting a new one and jumping through hoops that I could make it work. Please enjoy the process video below.

I created two cluster groups to help balance the page. One is over the poorly printed part of the photo and the other is on the opposite side. Balancing your page is key for an aesthetically pleasing layout! All of the products used in this project are mentioned in the video, but if you have questions, I would be happy to answer them.

The style of this layout was inspired by Kira Ness who uses the folding paper technique that I used here. Overall, this page is simple and easy way to get multiple photos on to a 12x12 layout. I know that the trends are aimed towards using fewer photos per layout, but hopefully this inspires you to put a couple more on your next one.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to use those wonky processed photos. Thanks for stopping by!

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
