Tuesday Cards

Hello again my crafty and scrappy friends. This is Barbara and I am going to show you how to make an easel card. I hope you enjoy it.
My Tip for the day is: Always have fun while crafting and making art. Don't let it become a chore.

Here is my completed project:

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping I like this kind of card because it easily stands up for the recipient to enjoy.
Recipe:

  • Cardstock cut 5 x 10 inches
  • aqua patterned paper cut to 5 x 5 inches
  • green patterned paper cut 4.75 x 4.75 inches
  • White or cream cardstock 4.5 x 4.5 inches
  • Skylark stamp set by CTMH
  • Skylark sentiment by CTMH (thick cardstock)  You can use regular cardstock to make your sentiment piece.
  • pop dots
  • white flowers
  • yellow brads
First cut your cardstock to 5 x 10 inches. Score it at 5 inches and 7.5 inches. Mountain fold each score line. Ink edges if you like.
Notice that the largest section is the base of the card.
Now prepare the front main image for your card. I stamped and colored the bird image. then I misted the white flowers and added them to the bottom section of the white cardstock with the bird stamped on it.
Now place your focal piece of white cardstock and adhere it to the center of the 5 x 5 piece of patterned paper.
This will be attached to the short section on the end that is standing up like this:
Next you want to attach your 4.75 x 4.75 inch piece of patterned paper to the base of the card facing up toward you like this;
Then prepare and attach your sentiment within about .25 inches from the front edge of the card. Be sure to use pop dots or other dimensional adhesive product because this is what will hold your card front in the correct position.
You can write a message on the middle piece if you like.
When you are done this is what you will have:
I hope you can see how the raised sentiment serves as a "door stop" type of thing to make your card stand upright.
As always comments and questions are welcome and if you have a question someone from the DT will get back with you as soon as possible.
Hope you have a blessed day.
