The recipe:
Anna Griffin Cottage roses stickers
AG Inspirational Expressions stickers
AG Cuttlebug embossing folder Rosa
AG pigment ink pink
Spellbinders Lattice Motif die
Staz On all purpose cleaner
5 x 7 inch pink card
4 x 6 piece of yellow cardstock
white cardstock to cut your die shape
The first thing I did was emboss my yellow cardstock. I wanted the design to stand out some so I inked the embossing folder on the side that is the top (where the title is) and placed my yellow cardstock inside the folder.
Then I ran that through my E-bosser and removed the yellow cardstock from the folder. I used the Staz On all purpose cleaner to clean the pigment ink off the embossing folder.
Then I attached the yellow embossed cardstock to the front of the pink card after drying the ink briefly with my heat tool.
Next I am going to make my die cut. Make your sandwich however your machine calls for except put a sheet of wax paper between your die and your cardstock like so:
Put your cardstock on top of this layer and add your top plate and put through your embossing machine.
The wax paper will be cut as well as the cardstock.
After removing the excess around the edges use your paper piercier to push through the tiny holes in the metal die to loosen the cardstock from the metal die. It will come off just like this with no extra removing of pieces required.
Now attach the die cut piece to the front of your card making sure to center it on the yellow layer.
Next add your sentiment to the center of the die cut.
Add your other embellishments and you are done.

ReplyDeleteWhy use wax paper and what was your fustration with the dies? What help does the wax paper do?
ReplyDeleteThe wax paper helps keep the cardstock from sticking to the metal die. It also helps all those little tiny cut out pieces cut completely instead of having to punch some of them out with a paper piercer.
