Welcome our Special Guest Designer

Cristina here sharing our wonderful Guest Designer for today. Karen is our Challenge #9 winner with her beautiful card. We have invited her today to share her favorite projects and tips.

Hello everyone! My name is Karen and i´m so happy to be a guest designer in this awesome blog !
I´m 23 years old and i´m from Mexico . I have always been a memories lover, I like to keep as much memories as I can and put them into journals, photo albums, scrapbooks, etc. I started making scrapbooks when I was 16 but at that time I didn´t know what scrapbook was haha, so officially started almost a year ago, when I was pregnant of my first baby. I really love to keep all the moments we spend together into a scrapbook and a journal so when he grows up we can see how much I´ve loved him. That´s what a scrapbook means to me. Of course after I entered to this atmosphere I got into cardmaking and other papercrafts and I love it!
Here are a couple of my favorite projects

For the Umbrella I used a tutorial that you can find here http://latinasenamerica.blogspot.mx/2013/05/lluvia-de-bendiciones-paraguas-3d.html it´s in Spanish but the photos explain it very well so I think you won´t have problems to understand
A tip I can give you is that you can use EVERYTHING you have when you´re crafting or scrapbooking, you don´t have to buy the most expensive supplies or materials, if you´re run out of money you can see around you and make an awesome project with things you have in your kitchen, bedroom, garage…who knows! Your limit is your imagination!

Thank You so much Karen for sharing your lovely projects with us. Thank you for stopping by and visiting.

Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by,

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8
